Bits Pilani also includes intakes of students by considering merit in the relevant qualification and valid entrance exam scores like BITSAT, CAT. In the year of 2024, 2023, The University has declared the final selection list for all the categories based on marks in relevant qualification for all the branches. The Cut Off marks/ranks is very crucial for the students which decides the admission of the students in the University. 

The Institute has made a criteria of minimum  cut off  of  165 to 327 marks for various courses of UG, PG program for categories like General based on BITSAT score in the year of 2024.it has announced its first, second and third round cutoff for admission in the University. The cutoff was decided by the University for the various courses and Specialization of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate program like BE, MSc and BPharm . 

Also, Bits Pilani has made a criteria of minimum  cut off  of 80 Percentile for various courses of PG program for the categories like General based on CAT score in the year of 2023.it has announced its last round Cut off for admission in the college. The cutoff was decided by the college for the various courses of the PG program like MBA.

Factors Affecting Cut off  

The Main key factors affecting cut off includes various stages such as:

• Number of Applicants: the more the number of peoples apply for the entrance exam the more will be the cut off
• Exam difficulty : the difficulty of exam decides the merit candidates in the college
• Seat availability: based on seats available in the university the cut off will be decided according to the seat availability.
• Reservation policy: the cutoff includes the reservation policies for the admission of college. The cut off for reservation candidates will be less than unreserved candidates.

The University also allows students who have reservations. The cut off for the reservation candidates will be low compared to unreserved candidates. The college considers several reservations such as:

Counseling Process: 

Applicants should participate in the counseling process to get admission in the university. The Applicants need to register at the official website. Based on the marks entered/obtained in relevant qualification/entrance exams by the candidates/applicants will be called to future counseling rounds. The counseling process of the university includes:

• Selecting of desired courses
• Declaration of results based on filled preferences

Important Dates:

Bits Pilani releases the important dates related to admission. The Institute's admission will be from June to September. So, the candidates should adhere to the important dates of the University and stay updated to the notification released by the institute. 

• The admission window will be open in the month of June.
• The admission window will close in the month of July.
• Physical reporting of the students will be in August-September.
• BITSAT will be conducted in June 2025.
