Candidates can be admitted in four years of a bachelor of engineering, candidates should appear in the entrance exam of KEA/ COMED-K, for postgraduate, candidates should appear in the Entrance exam: KMT/ CMAT/ MAT/ PGCET,

International Admission

NRIs- Children of Indian Parents who are working in Gulf countries are eligible for admission under the Gulf quota.

Foreign Nationals- Citizens of all countries other than India.

PIO- persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who either of his parents or any of his grandparents was a citizen of India by the provisions of the constitution of India.

Admission Process

Eligibility

Academic Eligibility for four years undergraduate Programs (B.E.)
Through KEA/ COMED-K
For General Merit Candidates Candidates who have passed the 2nd PUC/12 Std/ Equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry/ biotechnology/ biology/ computer science/ electronics/ as optional subjects in the qualifying examination are eligible to pursue in undergraduate programs (BE)
For SC/ST & OBC category candidates Candidates who have passed in 2nd PUC/12 Std/ equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained a minimum of 40% of marks in aggregate in physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ biology/ computer science/ electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination are eligible to pursue in undergraduate programs.
Three years Bachelor of Engineering
B.E.- Lateral Entry Scheme A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination i.e.any diploma examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% ( for general merit candidates) or marks taken together in all the subjects of the final year diploma examination is eligible for admission to BE-Course and 40% of marks if Q.E. in case of SC, ST and Backward classes of Karnataka Candidates.
Academic Eligibility for two years PostGraduate Programs
M.Tech
  1. A candidate with a valid GATE score of PGCET of Karnataka
  2. A candidate who has passed in qualifying examination (i.e. BE/ B.Tech) with an aggregate minimum of 50% of marks ( for general merit candidates)
  3. 45% of marks in qualifying examination in case of SC, ST, and Cat- I candidates.
MBA
  1. Candidates should appear in any of these entrance exams: KMAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ PGCET.
  2. A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination i.e., any recognized Bachelor's Degree of a minimum of 3 years duration and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% of ( for general merit candidates),
  3. 45% marks in Q.E. in the case of SC, ST, and category- I of Karnataka Candidates.
MCA
  1. Entrance exam: KMT or PGCET
  2. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination i.e., any recognized undergraduate examination or equivalent exam with mathematics statistics computer science, or computer application with an aggregate minimum of 50% ( for general merit candidates)
  3. 45% of marks in Q.E. in the case of SC, ST, and OBC category- I of Karnataka candidates.
Ph.D/M.Sc (Engg.)
  1. Working professionals/faculty and others with a postgraduate qualification in the related discipline are eligible to apply for a Ph.D. The required qualification for M.Sc. (Engg) programs is a 4-year engineering degree program in the related discipline.
