Types of Scholarships
1. Merit-Based Scholarship
Merit Scholarships at DIT University The aim of a merit scholarship at DIT University is rewarding students for their excellent academic performance. For UG, the scholarship is given to the student at entry or subsequent years based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination or their CGPA.
First Year:
- Eligibility: Merit-based Awards earned according to the percentages of marks secured in identified subjects at the time of admission.
- Applicable to: Tuition fees only.
- Categories:
- 90% and above: all tuition fees are provided as scholarship for students scoring 90% and above in the qualifying exams.
- 85% - 89.99% Those whose scores fall between 85% and 89.99% qualify for a 50% tuition fee scholarship.
- 80% - 84.99%: Those students scoring within the range of 80% up to 84.99% will be eligible for provision of a 25% scholarship for tuition fees.
Subsequent Years:
- Eligibility: The top 10% of the students, based on the CGPA after the completion of each year of study, are granted the scholarship.
- Applicable to: Tuition fees of the respective year.
- Categories:
- CGPA 9.5 and above: for such students full scholarships of 100% tuition fees are provided, provided the CGPA is not below 9.5;.
- Scholarships on full tuition fee CGPA of 9.0 - 9.49: Such students are granted 50% scholarship on their tuition fee whose cumulative grade point average lies between 9.0 to 9.49.
- CGPA 8.5 - 8.99: A student with a range of 8.5-8.99 is offered a scholarship for 25% of the tuition fees.

2. Uttarakhand/Other Himalayan States Scholarship
This scholarship scheme is available for people having permanent residence in the state of Uttarakhand or any of the states of the Himalayas. This scholarship is planned for higher education of local students as well as to provide financial assistance to students according to merit.
- Eligibility : UG & PG Courses
- Scholarship - 26% tuition fees for permanent residents of Uttarakhand or other Himalayan states.
A valid domicile certificate must be submitted by students to avail of this scholarship scheme.

3. Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship for Girl Students
The university provides a scholarship that motivates women students to progress to higher education and realize their academic and professional goals. This scholarship enables the university to encourage more girls aspiring for higher education and rendering high performance in their area.

Scholarship:
- Top 3%: 30% tuition fee scholarship
- Next 3%: 20% tuition fee scholarship.
- To the rest 4% of the students constituting the top 10%: concession in fee structure at 10% on tuition.
Eligibility criteria The students should have an aggregate of more than 80 percent in X and XII standard with CGPA of 8.5 or above in every year.

4. Scholarship for Children of Defence Personnel

5. Scholarships for Differently Abled Students
This scholarship emphasis on handicapped students, thus focusing on the quality of education to the students. It is mainly supported through financial aids provided by the University so that one can work around the barriers and achieve their academic goal.

- Scholarship amount: Up to 25% scholarship on tuition fees.

- Eligibility: All girl students will have to score 80% and above in the aggregate of X and XII standards while maintaining a CGPA of 8.5 and more in each academic year.

- Eligibility: A valid certificate issued by the concerned Defence authority is required while seeking admission.

Scholarships Renewal
Renewals to subsequent years are upon the student's strictly maintaining the required CGPA and the criteria for the qualifications. Any disciplinary case will automatically lead to the revocation of the scholarship. The university monitors the academic performance and general conduct of the scholarship students to ascertain that they meet the required eligibility criteria.
Additional Scholarships

- Offered by: Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India.

2. Oasis (Online Application for Scholarship in Studies)
- To be provided by: Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.

3. Swami Vivekananda West Bengal Government Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship Scheme

- Details: Merit-cum-means-based financial assistance. This scholarship is instituted to help students of West Bengal study and develop professionally.
Application Process

- Application Form Submission: Interested applicants can download the application form available at the website of DIT University Scholarship, whose application form incorporates details related to student academic performance, financial need and other specific relevant details.
- Documentation: Attach photocopies of academic transcripts, proof of financial need, domicile certificates, if any and any other necessary document that the applicant may require by self-attestation.
