IIITDM Kancheepuram UG Admissions
IIITDM Kancheepuram offers B.Tech and dual degree programs that can be pursued after class 12th. The selection of students in the UG programs will be done based on JEE Mains ranks and JoSAA and CSAB special round counselings. Applicants must have a minimum of 75% marks in class 12th and Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory subjects with which candidates have completed their 12th. Eligible candidates have to register for JoSAA counseling and if they haven’t been allotted seats then they can appear for CSAB counseling.

IIITDM Kancheepuram PG Admissions
IIITDM Kancheepuram offers only two master’s degree programs, M.Tech and M.Design. Candidates with B.E/B.Tech degrees with a minimum 60% aggregate score are eligible to apply for an M.Tech program. For master’s in design courses, candidates who have any of the B.E, B.Design, and B.Arch degrees are eligible to apply. Admission to M.Tech and M.Design programs is based on GATE and CEED scores, respectively. Eligible candidates who have good scores in GATE have to register for Centralized Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT).

IIITDM Kancheepuram PhD Admissions
PhD at IIITDM Kancheepuram is offered to various categories of students who belong to HTRA (Regular Full-Time Program with Institute Scholarship), NHTRA (Regular Full-Time Program without Institute Scholarship), Project (Regular Full-Time Program with Financial Support from Sponsored Projects), External (Part-Time Program without Institute Scholarship), Professional with Extensive Experience (PEE), and Fellowship (Regular Full-Time Scholars with Government/Semi-Government Fellowship Awards).
The eligibility is the same for all categories. The selection of students who fall in the HTRA, NHTRA, Project, or Fellowship category is done based on past academic records, a written test, and an interview. The selection of students who fall into the External and PEE category will be done based on the submitted research proposal.
