The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Sonipat is an Institute of National Importance set up by the Ministry of Education (Formerly MHRD) Government of India in 2014 in the Public-Private Partnership mode. It was designed to fulfill the need for skilled men and women in the field of Information Technology as well as allied areas. It is based at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi’s Technopark Campus, Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Sonipat, and works from this transit campus. Admissions to IIIT Sonipat’s B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology are based on merit through the Joint Entrance Examination Main. IIIT Courses and Fees

CSE, IT and Data Science and Analytics are the three B.Tech UG programs that are currently offered by IIIT, the programs being of the duration of 4 years each. JEE Main ranks are taken into consideration and along with this, JoSAA Counseling is taken into account for admission. Candidates should complete 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as the core subjects to be eligible. A total course fee per semester for each program will vary around ₹90,000 lakh excluding hostel and other charges. Core technical areas and skills in the industry relevant are covered by the curriculum to give a good foundation. Postgraduate or doctoral programs are not being offered presently by the institute but a future expansion is planned.

IIIT Admission 2025

The admission to IIIT Sonepat in 2025 will be done through JEE Main and will be followed by centralized counseling under JoSAA. Aspiring candidates appear for JEE Main and with a valid rank become eligible. Besides this, candidates should have done this with Physics and Mathematics being compulsory subjects at the 10 +2 level. After the results are announced, the students are required to register themselves on the JoSAA portal and fill the choice in the choice filling process of selecting IIIT Sonepat and B.Tech branch of choice. It permits seats to be allotted based on merits, category, availability etc. Candidates have to verify documents and pay the fees to prove their admission once the allotment is completed.
