IIT Madras (IITM): Fees Structure 2025 – Course-wise Breakdown

IITM offers a PhD Program in various specializations. Its eligibility includes good merit in graduation in relevant disciplines and a valid UGC NET/ JRF Score. The fee structure for courses is around 46,500 to 51,500 INR.

• The one time fee of INR 16,000 for every course under every program should be paid at the time of admission.
• The admission fee for every course is around 3,000 INR for Indian Students.
• Any fees, once paid, are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Students only have to register for the courses through the Entrance Exam portals.

Payment Methods and Installments

Applicants can pay the fees online by using all debit and credit cards. Also, applicants can pay the fees at the time of admission to the university using cash. There will be only a one-time instalment of the fees.
