IIT Delhi offers a variety of scholarships and financial aid programs to assist students throughout their academic careers. These scholarships are intended to alleviate financial problems by covering a variety of academic and living expenditures. The institute provides both internal and external scholarships based on student qualifications, performance, and financial need. Here is a comprehensive list of the scholarship options available at IIT Delhi in 2024.

Merit Cum means Scholarship

The Merit Cum Means (MCM) Scholarship is intended for undergraduate students in engineering, technology, and master's programs who demonstrate both merit and financial need. This grant is available to 25% of qualifying students, according to institute standards. Eligibility Criteria: Students with an annual family income of up to INR 4.5 lakhs are eligible for this program. Students from the GEN/OBC/EWS groups will receive a monthly award of INR 1,000. Students in the SC/ST/PwD categories are exempt from tuition payments.

Research Assistance

Research Assistance is provided to full-time Ph.D. or research students at IIT Delhi who work for the department. This assistance helps students who are conducting research. Eligibility: Full-time students in research-based programs are eligible. Provides a minimum monthly award of INR 15,000 to students who work about 20 hours per week. Students in the MS Research Program receive a monthly award of INR 24,000 for working 8 hours per week.

Prof. A.K. Mahalanabis Memorial Scholarship 1st-year UG Electrical Engineering student with the highest JEE Rank

Loan Scholarships

For students who need loans, IIT Delhi provides grants to help them repay the interest. These loan scholarships are donated by alumni and other supporters:
