Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University is a Bihar state university in Patna, Bihar, India. According to the Bihar State Universities Act of 1976, the University came into existence. MMHAPU has been a member of the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, since December 2009. While three Vice-Chancellors were appointed during the period 1998 to 2008 by the Government of Bihar, the University never started admitting students until 2007. The University commenced its first academic session in July 2008. The University has over 100 Knowledge Resource Centres. Currently, the school has 21 affiliated colleges, with thirty B.Ed. College. It provides PG Semester System courses in English, Urdu, Persian, journalism, mass communication, and education. The University conducted two convocations in 2012 and 2015.
