Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) has 18 main colleges and 66 other colleges that offer courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, and Humanities. Students can join undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and PhD programs at VKSU.

To get admission, students need to either take an entrance test conducted by the university or be selected based on their past academic performance (marks in previous exams). The application forms for admission must be filled out online on the university's official website.

To get admission in BA, B.Sc, B.Com, or BBA, students must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board with at least 50% marks. For B.Ed and LL.B, a graduation degree in a relevant subject is required. Admission to the B.Ed program is based on the Bihar B.Ed CET exam and counseling, while other UG courses require students to appear for an entrance exam conducted by VKSU. Seats are given based on performance in the entrance exam. For the LL.B course, the maximum age limit is 30 years, but SC/ST students get relaxation up to 35 years. The university does not allow rounding off or adjusting marks while checking eligibility.
