Bihar UGEAC 2025: Counselling Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Choice Filling, Seat Allotment, Admission Process

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will hold the Bihar UGEAC 2025 counselling starting from May 2025. The Bihar UGEAC counselling 2025 is completely based on the JEE Main 2025 valid score. The candidates who wish to take admission into the first year BE/BTech courses in Government Engineering Colleges of Bihar, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Womens Institute of Technology, Exalt College of Engineering & Technology, and Buddha Institute of Technology must register for Bihar UnderGraduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGEAC).

BCECEB prepares the Bihar UGEAC rank list based on JEE Main scores submitted by the candidates. Candidates can check their merit position via the UGEAC rank card uploaded on the official website, bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The candidates who are issued the UGEAC 2025 rank card have to complete the Bihar UGEAC choice-filling and choice-locking process. BCECEB will release the Bihar UGEAC seat allotment result based on the rank of the candidates, category and choices filled by them. Candidates who are allotted seats will have to download the allotment order and complete the document verification process. There will be two rounds of seat allotment. After the two rounds if any vacant seats are there, then those seats are filled based on the scores of BCECE. 

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) is constituted under Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Act, 1995 . It conducts competitive examinations every year for admissions in various professional courses of Medical, Engineering and Agricultural streams in the Institutions of the state of Bihar.

What is Bihar UGEAC 2025 Counselling?

Bihar UGMAC is an online counselling for admission to BE/BTech courses in Government Engineering Colleges of Bihar, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Women's Institute of Technology, Exalt College of Engineering & Technology, and Buddha Institute of Technology.

Bihar Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counselling (UGC) is based on JEE Main score. The counselling process includes online registration with JEE Main scores, release of merit list, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification and admission to the allotted college. The counselling process is conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB).

Bihar UGEAC Eligibility Criteria Counselling 2025

Educational eligibility criteria:

• Passed 10+2 examination with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship.
• Agriculture stream (for Agriculture Engineering) obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subject taken together.

OR

• Passed minimum 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the first year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. (The Universities will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering drawing, etc, for the students coming from diverse backgrounds to prepare Level playing field and desired learning outcomes of the programme).

OR

• Passed D.voc stream in the same or allied sector.

Age limit:

There is no age limit.

Nationality:

• Indian nationals can apply.
• Those candidates are eligible whose parents are:
  • permanent residents of the state of Bihar, or
  • from other states but are employed under the government of Bihar, or
  • residing in the state for a set duration of time as per the norms, or
  • are employed in PSUs located in the state of Bihar.

Bihar UGEAC Counselling Registration 2025

The candidates have to register for the Bihar UGEAC 2025 counselling process with their JEE Main 2025 scores. Candidates who do not have JEE Main scores can also apply with BCECE scores. The vacant seats remaining after the counselling process based on JEE Main scores will be filled based on BCECE 2025 scores.

The steps to register for Bihar UGEAC counselling are as follows:

Step 1 - Registration: For registering, candidates have to enter their JEE Main 2025 application number and verify the same. If the data gets verified then proceed with further process.

Step 2 - Fill in personal information in the application form: After successful registration and activating the account, the candidate should again "Sign in" to his account and thereafter complete the required entries regarding personal information on the computer screen. On completing this stage candidates are provided with their UGEAC-ID. Candidates have to note the same down carefully.

Step 3 - Upload photo and signature: After entering the personal information the candidate should upload their passport-size photograph and full signature in Hindi and English (Not in capital letters) after duly scanning the same.

Step 4 - Enter educational details: Candidates should enter their educational information without any errors.

Step 5 - Preview the application form: After entering educational information the candidate must verify all the information. If any information is found wrong, then the candidate should click the "Back to Edit" button and make the required corrections. 

Step 6 - Pay the counselling fee: Candidate should click the "Proceed to Payment" button and complete the payment procedure according to the instructions that appear on the computer screen regarding payment of the counselling Fee. The counselling fee can be paid online using Credit Card / Debit Card / Net banking/ UPI.

Step 7 - Download Part A and Part B of the form: After successful payment of the counselling fee, the candidate must download a Hard Copy (Part A & and Part B) of the online submitted Application Form and keep the same safely in his possession because it contains all information provided by the candidate and the UGEAC-ID made available by the Board for further use during counselling.

Bihar UGEAC 2025 Document Verification and Reporting for Admission

The candidates have to appear for the document verification process at the Reporting / Nodal Centre. The UGEAC 2025 seat allotment order will have the name and address of the Reporting / Nodal Centre which the candidates have to visit for document verification. The allotment order will also have the date for reporting. The candidates who do not report for document verification as per the schedule will be eliminated from rhe counselling process and their seats will be included in the next counselling round. Such candidates will not be allowed in the further rounds of the counselling process.

All the certificates included in the list given below, if applicable, must be submitted in original by every candidate at the time of their counselling/allotment on the scheduled date:

7. All the certificate/documents in original as per the requirements of admissions in Private Engineering Colleges
8. Six copies of the passport-size photographs, which were pasted on the admit card of JEE Main 2025
9. Downloaded print of Online filled Application Form (Part A & Part B) of UGEAC 2025
10. Aadhar Card
11. Any other documents required (if any) such as DQ (PwD)/SMQ / EWS certificate

Bihar UGEAC 2025 Seat Allotment

The candidates who have filled in their choices and locked the same will be allotted seats based on their ranks in the UGEAC merit list. BCECEB will issue the Bihar UGEAC seat allotment result on the official website and the candidates can check it by logging into their account using their UGEAC ID and password. The candidates allotted seats can also download and print the UGEAC 2025 seat allotment order issued to them. 

Request for upgradation: If a candidate is not happy with the allotted seat, they can request for upgradation in the second round of counselling. If a candidate does not request for any upgradation they will not be considered in any further rounds of the UGEAC counselling process.

Bihar UGEAC 2024 Rank Card

Based on the JEE Main 2025 scores submitted by the candidates while registering for UGEAC counselling, the merit list will be drawn. The allotment of seats in the participating colleges and courses will be based on the ranks of the candidates in the UGEAC 2025 rank card. BCECEB has published the Bihar UGEAC 2025 rank card on the official website. The candidates who have been issued the rank card of UGEAC 2025 will be able to participate in the choice-filling process.

Bihar UGEAC 2025 Counselling Process

The UGEAC counselling is a centralised process conducted in three rounds. Check the Bihar UGEAC 2025 counselling process given below:

• Registration for Bihar UGEAC: candidates have to first register with their JEE Main 2025 scores.
• Publication of Merit List: Based on the JEE Main scores of the registered candidates a merit list is published.
• Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates whose names appear in the merit list have to complete the choice filling process as per the schedule. There are 2 rounds of choice filling.
• Seat Allotment result: Based on the choices filled by the candidates and their rank in the UGEAC merit list, seats are allotted. There are 2 rounds of seat allotment.
• Download the allotment order: The candidates who are allotted seats have downloaded the allotment order.
• Reporting at the centre and document verification: With the downloaded allotment order, candidates have to visit the reporting centre and get their documents verified.
