National Testing Agency (NTA) will open CUET 2025 registration in the first week of February 2025 at the official NTA CUET UG website: exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ or cuetug.ntaonline.in. Candidates need to apply online and must satisfy the eligibility criteria for CUET for the academic year 2025-26 before submitting their application. Candidates must note the CUET mapping criteria carefully while filling up the CUET application form. Candidates can now opt for only up to five CUET subjects.
Earlier, UGC announced CUET 2025 changes, including deletion of CUET UG subjects, change of mode of examination, subject choice uniformity of duration and no. of questions. The number of subjects covered by CUET exam has been reduced to 37 (13 languages, 23 CUET domain subjects and general test) from 63. Deleted subjects include 20 foreign languages and six domain subjects (Entrepreneurship, Teaching Aptitude, Fashion Studies, Tourism, Legal Studies, Engineering Graphics).
The CUET UG 2025 exam is expected to be conducted in May or June 2025 in CBT mode. According to the CUET 2025 updates, the exam will be conducted within a more than 15-day window. The official CUET UG notification is also expected to be released in the first week of February. More than 200 universities, including central, private, and deemed universities, will accept CUET scores.
The Common University Entrance Test, usually abbreviated as CUET UG, is the national-level entrance examination conducted by the NTA for undergraduate admission in participating colleges. First presented in 2022, CUET is now an important stepping stone for many students who intend to get a seat in undergraduate programmes in the finest colleges and universities of India. This annual exam is conducted in over 500 centres, both in India and abroad, in a computer-based format. The exam is conducted in phases based on the number of registered candidates. To apply and appear for the largest undergraduate entrance examination, CUET, applicants have to satisfy the eligibility criteria established by NTA. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
The CUET 2025 application form is likely to be released in the February 1st Week. Students can apply online through the official website. As part of the first step, candidates must register by providing basic details like name, address, contact etc. On submitting these unique logon credentials will be generated. Using these credentials, candidates can log in and fill up the CUET 2025 application form through personal and academic details, choice of program, and exam city, and also upload the relevant documents. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the CUET 2025 exam pattern.UGC Chairperson indicated that the CUET UG will undergo modifications in terms of exam duration, examination mode, and the number of subjects. However, the authority did not specify any detail reghrading this. The CUET 2025 exam will be held in CBT mode. The exam will consist of four sections: Section 1A, Section 1B, the General Test, and domain-specific subjects. Section 1A is mandatory and includes 13 languages, allowing candidates to choose their preferred language. Section 1B is optional and designed for those who wish to select a language not available in Section 1A, such as French, Arabic, German, etc. Each question will be worth five marks, with a deduction of one mark for every incorrect answer.

The NTA publishes the CUET UG syllabus in PDF form, accompanied by the official notification for those who need to refer to it. The CUET UG 2025 syllabus is based on the NCERT Class 12 syllabus. Common subjects for all streams include English, General Aptitude, Numerical Aptitude/Data Interpretation, Analytical Skills, Reasoning, and General Knowledge. The appropriate syllabus, on a subject-wise basis, has been provided by NTA, which students must follow while preparing for the exam.

CUET is a highly competitive national-level entrance exam. So candidates must have a well-thought-out strategy to ace the exam. Here are some preparation tips that will be beneficial for the candidates:
The CUET 2025 admit card will be issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) a few days before the exam. Before the CUET 2025 admit card, NTA will provide the CUET 2025 advance intimation slip in which exam city, exam date, slot, and paper will be mentioned. The CUET UG admit card is the most important document that candidates will carry to the exam centre. Here are some steps that candidates must follow to download CUET UG 2025 Admit Card.

NTA will publish the CUET provisional answer key 2025 on exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. CUET UG 2025 Answer Key will be released after CUET 2025 exams NTA is expected to release the CUET provisional answer key and the candidate's CUET response sheet in the first week of July 2025. With the help of CUET 2025 provisional answer key candidates can calculate their approximate scores. Candidates will be allowed to challenge the provisional answer key. The provisional answer key includes the correct answers along with the responses submitted by candidates. Using the answer key and CUET response sheet, candidates can assume their scores before the official results are announced. Candidates have the option to challenge the CUET UG 2025 answer key by paying a fee of INR 200 per question. The final CUET 2025 result will be based on the revised answer key.
The CUET 2025 results will be released as scorecards on exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. Candidates can access their CUET UG 2025 results and scorecard by logging into the official website using their credentials. The result will include details such as the candidate's personal information, section-wise scores, overall scores, percentiles, and cutoffs.

All the participating institutes will separately release The CUET 2025 cutoff. The cutoff represents the minimum marks required to pass the exam. While NTA will publish the qualifying cutoff, each participating institute will set its own cutoff for the specific programs they offer. The cutoff marks are determined based on factors such as the exam's difficulty level, the number of candidates, and the availability of seats, among others. Participating institutes will conduct The CUET 2025 counselling process separately. Each institute will release its merit list of qualified candidates after the results are declared. Candidates who wish to participate must register and take part in the online counselling process. The CUET 2025 counselling process consists of three rounds. However, the number of rounds may change depending on seat availability. Once the seat allotment results are published, candidates must accept the admission offer by reporting to the respective institute for document verification. For some programs, instead of counselling, interview rounds may be held. NTA will provide separate details about the admission process for these programs in the CUET 2025 information brochure.
