ISI Admission Test 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programs

Bachelor of Statistics (B.Stat Hons)

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have successfully completed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects.
• Selection Procedure: All applicants, except those who are Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO) awardees, are required to appear for two written tests comprising multiple-choice and descriptive questions in Mathematics at the 10+2 level. INMO awardees are directly called for interviews, bypassing the written tests.

Bachelor of Mathematics (B.Math Hons)

• Educational Qualification: Similar to the B.Stat program, candidates must have completed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects.
• Selection Procedure: The process mirrors that of the B.Stat program, with written tests in Mathematics and direct interviews for INMO awardees.

Bachelor of Statistical Data Science (BSDS Hons)

• Educational Qualification: Applicants should have completed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects.
• Selection Procedure: Admission is based on performance in the ISI Admission Test, which includes questions pertinent to data science and related fields.

ISI Admission Test 2025 for Postgraduate Programs

The eligibility criteria for postgraduate courses offered through the ISI Admission Test 2025 are outlined below.

Master of Statistics (M.Stat)

• Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess a three-year Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, or a BE/B.Tech degree with Statistics as a subject.
• Selection Procedure: While B.Stat (Hons) degree holders from ISI receive direct admission, other eligible candidates must undergo written admission tests followed by an interview.

Master of Mathematics (M.Math)

• Educational Qualification: Applicants must have a three-year Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a BE/B.Tech degree with Mathematics as a subject, or a B.Stat degree from ISI.
• Selection Procedure: Direct admission is granted to B.Math (Hons) degree holders from ISI. Other candidates are selected based on their performance in written tests and interviews.

Master of Science in Quantitative Economics [MS (QE)]

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree (of at least three years) in any discipline, with Mathematics as a subject at the 10+2 level.
• Selection Procedure: Candidates are selected through written tests and subsequent interviews.

Master of Science in Quality Management Science [MS (QMS)]

• Educational Qualification: A three-year Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics as a subject, or a BE/B.Tech degree in any discipline.
• Selection Procedure: Selection is based on performance in written tests and interviews.

Master of Science in Library and Information Science [MS (LIS)]

• Educational Qualification: A three-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Selection Procedure: Candidates are chosen based on their performance in written tests and interviews.

Master of Technology in Computer Science [M.Tech (CS)]

• Educational Qualification: Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Electronic Science, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a BE/B.Tech degree, or any equivalent qualification.
• Selection Procedure: Admission is through written tests and interviews. Candidates with a valid GATE score above a specified threshold may be directly called for an interview.

Master of Technology in Cryptology and Security [M.Tech (CrS)]

• Educational Qualification: The criteria are identical to those for the M.Tech (CS) program.
• Selection Procedure: Similar to the M.Tech (CS) program, with selection through written tests and interviews.

Master of Technology in Quality, Reliability & Operations Research [M.Tech (QROR)]

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics (with Statistics as a subject at the undergraduate or postgraduate level) and Physics and Chemistry at the 10+2 level, or a BE/B.Tech degree or equivalent.
• Selection Procedure: All candidates are admitted through written tests and interviews. A valid GATE score is not mandatory for this program.

• Educational Qualification: Applicants must have a domicile certificate of the North-Eastern states and a three-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject, or a BE/B.Tech degree or equivalent.
• Selection Procedure: Selection is based on the performance in written tests and interviews.

Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications

• Educational Qualification: A three-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics as a subject.
