How is JEE Advanced Result 2025 Prepared?
The authority prepares JEE Advanced Result based on the marks secured by the candidates in the exam. The marks are calculated based on JEE Advanced Marking Scheme.
Subject-Wise Mark Calculation: The marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 1 and the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 2 are equal to those obtained by a candidate in Physics in JEE Advanced 2025. The exact process is followed for Maths and Chemistry.
Aggregate marks calculation: The sum of the marks secured by candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in JEE Advanced exam. The aggregate marks of paper 1 and paper 2 will be added together to get the marks of the candidates out of 360.
JEE Advanced Rank List 2025
The authority prepares JEE Advanced Rank List 2025 based on the aggregate marks in JEE Advanced 2025 exam. After the declaration of the result, the category-wise ranking of successful candidates in all of India will be released on the official website. Candidates will also get a text message to their registered mobile numbers.
JEE Advanced 2025 Tie-Breaking Policy
If two or more candidates get the same aggregate marks in JEE Advanced exam, then the following tie-breaking policy will be followed.
- Candidates with higher positive marks will be awarded a higher rank.
- If a tie exists, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Mathematics.
- If this does not break the tie, a higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Physics.
- Even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank if there is a tie.
