NIFT Result 2025 was released on April 24, 2025. The NTA NIFT result was published online on the official website. Candidates must to log in using their application number, date of birth, and security code to download their scorecard. Qualified candidates of the written exams (GAT and CAT) need to appear in a Situation Test/ Personal Interview (PI), depending on the program chosen. The final results of the NIFT 2025 exam will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and the Situation Test (PI). The NIFT 2025 written exam was held on February 9, 2025. Steps to Check NIFT 2025 results
Candidates are advised to follow the steps below for checking the NIFT result 2025 online. The steps are as given below-
- Visit the official NTA NIFT website at https://exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/.
- Next, Click on the result link.
- Then, enter the NIFT 2025 application number, date of birth (or password), and security pin.
- Click on the login option.
- The NIFT 2025 result will appear on the screen.
NIFT 2025 Result Benefit Marks
The answer key and question paper of NIFT 2025 will be released by the NTA after the written test.
- In case it is found that any question in the NTA NIFT 2025 test is incorrect for any reason, credit will be given to the candidates who attempted that question only.
- After subject matter expert review, if it is confirmed that another option is also correct in addition to the original answer key, marks will be awarded to all candidates who chose any of the correct options.
- Complaints or representations about the answer keys will not be entertained after the NIFT 2025 results have been declared.
- The final answer key for NIFT 2025 will be released in April 2025.

What is a Good Score in NIFT 2025?
The NTA conducts the NIFT exam 2025 for admission into B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, and M.F.Tech programs at different NIFT campuses. This year, around 20,000 candidates appeared for the exam. As per previous year trends, more than 70 out of 100 marks is considered to be a good score for B.Des, and 100+ marks out of 150 is a good score for B.F.Tech program. NIFT 2025 Topper List
NTA is expected to release the list of NIFT 2025 top scorers soon after the results declaration. The list will include necessary details like the name of the candidate, their All India Rank (AIR), marks, and other pertinent details, such as their domicile. NIFT 2025 Marks vs Rank
Candidates must know the relation between NIFT marks vs NIFT rank. The NIFT 2025 rank is usually used to determine candidates’ capability and eligibility for admission into NIFT campuses and their chosen courses. NTA determines the NIFT rank of candidates based on the total number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, seat availability, and reservation criteria. If a candidate scores a higher mark in the NTA NIFT exam then his/her rank will be lower and vice-versa. NTA NIFT 2025 Tie Breaking Policy
In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal scores, the merit ranks shall be determined through the following tie-breaking rules.
- The test score carrying more weight shall be given preference in order to break the tie. For instance, in the B.Des program case, the scores in the CAT exam shall be used for the purpose.
- In case the CAT scores are equal, the process of comparing the GAT scores will be the next step.
- If the tie is still unsettled at this stage, then the subject-wise scores of the candidates will be compared in the order of Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, and General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
NIFT 2025 Final Results
NTA will declare the final results of NTA NIFT 2025 in April 2025. In B.F.Tech, final results will only depend on the marks scored in the GAT exam. For B.Des, final results will be calculated by assigning weightage to the GAT, CAT, and Situation Test. However, final results for M.Des in NIFT 2024 will be calculated based on GAT, CAT, and Interview, with each being given a certain weight. Also, the final scores for the M.F.Tech and M.F.M courses will be determined by assessing performance in both the GAT and the Interview.
NIFT 2025 Results FAQs
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the results of the NIFT 2025 written exam sometime in April 2025.
The result will include details like the name, roll number, and signature of the candidate. Importantly, it will include the sectional and overall scores, merit rank of the candidate, and the qualifying status.
Yes, a rank of 1000 is considered to be a good rank in the NIFT 2025 exam.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology offers M.Des MFM and M.FTech courses at its 18 campuses. Admission to these courses are on the basis of NIFT 2025 merit ranks. The final merit rank of NIFT 2025 for the M.Des programme will be prepared by giving weightage to CAT (40%), CAT (30%), and Interview (30%). In case of the M.FTech and MFM courses, the GAT carries 70% weightage, while the Interview carries 30% weightage. Note that MFM and M.FTech candidates don't need to take the CAT Test.
Typically there is no option to apply for recheck of NIFT 2025 results. However, if the candidate has any doubts, they are allowed to challenge the answer key. Note that the NIFT answer keys for GAT paper of the written exam will be released sometime in April 2025.
