NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has started the registration process to recruit candidates for various Group II services. Interested and eligible candidates can fill the APPSC recruitment 2023 application form at psc.ap.gov.in. The registration deadline for APPSC recruitment 2023 is January 10, 2024 by 11:59 pm.
According to the official notification, APPSC plans to fill a total of 897 vacancies in this recruitment drive. These vacancies comprise 331 executive positions and 566 non-executive positions.
APPSC Recruitment 2023: Application fee
Candidates applying for positions under the APPSC recruitment 2023 will need to pay an application fee of Rs 250 along with an examination fee of Rs 80. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Backward Class (BC), Physically Handicapped (PH), and Ex-servicemen categories are exempt from paying the examination fee.
The official notice stated that it has been observed that some candidates are requesting changes in their data after submitting the application. Please note that such requests will be considered upon payment of Rs.100/- for each correction. However, changes cannot be made to the Name, Fee, and age relaxation fields. No manual applications for corrections will be accepted.
Candidates will be required to take a screening test, which will be an objective-type examination in OMR-based format. Candidates who qualify the screening test will be eligible to sit for the main exam which is a computer-based test.
The screening test will be of 150 marks. The paper will consist of 2 sections-General studies and mental ability. General studies section carries 120 marks and the mental ability section carries 30 marks.
The main examination will be divided into two parts- Paper 1 and paper 2. Each paper carries 150 marks and is further divided into 2 sections. Candidates have the facility to take mock test available on the commission's website to familiarize themselves with the computer-based test.
