A re-examination is only being done for the 1563 impacted candidates.
For the affected applicants, the results will be based on their actual marks (without compensation) from the exam that was held on May 5, 2024, if they choose not to retake it.
The results of the reexamination will be based on the candidates who took it, and the exam results from May 5th will not be used.
Meanwhile, the issue came into focus when the Supreme Court declared on June 13, 2024, that the NEET results for the 1563 candidates will be invalid. This came for the students who received grace marks in the 2024 session.
The original scores (without the grace marks) for these 1563 students will be disclosed, and they have to reappear for the exam. However, candidates should be aware that their marks will be determined by the exam on May 5 if their exam results are cancelled and they choose not to take the exam.
