NLU Delhi Lowers Qualifying Percentage And Updates AILET 2025 Eligibility Requirements
Last update: Nov 20, 2024
The eligibility requirements for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2025 have been updated by the National Law University (NLU) in NLU Delhi. The qualifying percentages for the joint master's/LLM in intellectual property (IP) law and management (non-residential) and the one-year non-residential LLM program have been lowered.
The LLM (one-year) non-residential program's minimum qualifying marks, as per the updated AILET 2025 eligibility criteria, are 50% for an equivalent law degree or LLB. Students who identify as SC, ST, or disabled must receive a minimum of 45% of the possible points. In the past, students in the UR category received 55% of the marks, while those in reserved categories received 50%.
An applicant must have earned an LLB or an equivalent degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 50% of the possible points in order to be considered for the master of law (LLM) program in intellectual property law and management. Candidates may apply for AILET 2025 if they plan to sit for the final year LLB annual test in 2025.
NLU Delhi stated that the other qualifying requirements for admission to the LLM programs will not change in addition to announcing the updated requirements. AILET 2025 applications opened on August 1 and will be accepted through November 18.
Additionally, students who meet the requirements can apply at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in for the AILET 2025 for the BA LLb (Hons), BCom LLb (Hons), LLM, and PhD programs.
