Students can apply for multiple scholarship programs offered by Anna University. In addition to scholarships, the institution offers financial aid through fellowship and award programs, with the grant amount determined by the applicant's household income. These scholarships support both undergraduate and graduate students financially and recognize academic excellence.

The Anna University scholarship programs and their requirements are listed below. Anna University manages a range of scholarships provided by the central and state governments, following all laws and regulations.

Scholarships from the Central Government: To apply for a Central Government scholarship, students must go to the National Scholarship Portal and submit a hard copy of their application to the scholarship department. The Central Government scholarships are credited directly to the student's account.

Alumni Scholarships: Additionally, there are batch-specific scholarships provided by alumni and other organizations, such as businesses. Under conditions like maintaining a minimum CGPA, the alumni scholarship for undergraduate students is often provided from the first or second year until the final year.

The following selection criteria determine scholarship eligibility at Anna University:

  • The annual maximum for parental income.
  • The first-year scholarship is awarded based on the scores in the qualifying exam.
  • Typically, only one scholarship is expected to be awarded to a student.
  • A minimum required CGPA starting in the second year.

Students are asked to apply for scholarships through the Guindy Scholarship area of the Dean's Office, College of Engineering, once the eligibility conditions are verified. The scholarship-sponsoring organization sends a formal letter detailing the selection criteria to the dean's office.

Once awarded, students are eligible to apply for financial support. Extraordinary academic success at Anna University is required for eligibility.

CEG Merit cum Means Award in the G. Krishnamoorthy Award:

  • CM Honour
  • Anna Prize
  • Gandhi Memorial Prize
