CMAT 2025 exam dates will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) soon at their official portal, i.e., exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT. CMAT 2025 exam is likely to be conducted in the third week of May 2025. NTA will commence the registration process in the last week of March 2025. Likewise, eligible candidates can apply for the examination till the fourth week of April 2025. Last year, 76745 students registered, and 65172 appeared for the exam. The number of male candidates was higher compared to female candidates in terms of registration and attendance.
Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) 2025
CMAT 2025 registration process is simple and is carried out at the portal, i.e., exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT. Students who meet the eligibility criteria must first register with their names, guardian’s names, date of birth, gender, identity type, and number. Candidates also need to answer a security question and create a strong password. Applicants need to use the password and application number generated after the registration process is completed.
General male candidates are required to pay the INR 2000 fee, and female candidates must pay INR 1000. The reserved categories must pay INR 1000, which can be paid with either credit or debit card, net banking, or UPI.NTA conducts CMAT entrance examination in an online computer-based test mode at respective centers. Candidates are asked a total of 100 multiple-choice questions across five sections.
The weightage of every question is +4 marks, and there will be a -1 mark deduction per incorrect attempt. The medium of the question paper is in English only, and the exam is conducted for a total of 3 hours allotted time. CMAT 2025 syllabus includes core topics of Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
CMAT 2025 results will likely be released in the first week of June 2025. The results are published in the form of a scorecard every year. r. All the students must provide the application number, date of birth, contact number, and mail ID to view and download the results. The provisional answer keys, released before the result publication, can be challenged with INR 200. For top B-schools, the CMAT 2025 cutoff can be in the 90 percentile or above.
What is CMAT 2025 Entrance Exam?

CMAT 2025 Application Process
CMAT 2025 registration process is an online one and is carried out at the portal, i.e., exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT. Students need to first register by providing their name, date of birth, gender, identity type, and number, along with the names of their guardians. In addition, candidates must set a secure password and respond to a security question. The application number and password that are generated once the registration process is finished must be used by applicants. The fee for general male candidates is INR 2000, while the charge for female candidates is INR 1000. The INR 1000 required for the reserved categories can be paid with a credit or debit card, net banking, or UPI. The form correction window will start in the fourth week of April 2025.
CMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Every year, nearly 50000-65000 students compete in CMAT entrance examination to get into the B- schools of their preferences. The exam is limited to only the Indian-residing candidates. No foreign nationals or NRI students are allowed to appear in the test. NTA has also not prescribed any upper or lower age limit/ restrictions to appear in CMAT entrance examination. The individual applying must have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Applicants pursuing a bachelor's degree, the results of which will be announced prior to the start of admission for the 2025-2026 academic year. No minimum qualifying marks have been set by the qualifying marks. Candidates, however, secure at least 50% marks to apply to different colleges for MBA/ PGDM courses. A relaxation of 5% marks can be considerable for those in the reserved categories. As per the reservation criteria of all the institutes run by the Central Government, the following percentage of seats are reserved for different categories:

The CMAT 2025 exam is conducted online by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is held as a computer-based test (CBT) mode. CMAT 2025 Admit Card
NTA is expected to issue CMAT 2025 admit card in the second week of May 2025. CMAT admit cards or hall tickets are one of the important documents to carry on exam day. Students can download the respective admit cards by entering the application number and date of birth. Candidates can check their name, roll number, category, date of birth, PwD status, exam date and time, and guidelines. Students need to report at the respective test center with CMAT 2025 admit card. Along with the admit cards, candidates also need to carry any of the following photo identification proof along with a ballpoint pen and an additional photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet:

CMAT 2025 Results
NTA will release CMAT 2025 results in the form of a scorecard. The official portal for checking CMAT 2025 results will be exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT. Students need to provide their respective application number, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID in order to view the results. Students can download the preliminary answer keys and challenge the same till the fourth week of May 2025 with a non-refundable payment of INR 200. There will also be a tie-breaking policy also, in terms of more than one student obtaining the similar scores, and according to it:
- The score obtained relative to the overall score will determine the National Merit Ranking (All India Rank).
- The cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of the last graduation exam.
- The overall percentage obtained in class 12.
- Candidates of older age will be prioritized next.
- Students with identical scores would receive the same Merit, and the Merit number would grow by the same amount. For example, if two candidates have the same Merit, Merit 3 would not be given to the next candidate; instead, Merit 4 would be given.
CMAT 2025 Cut Off
NTA does not release any separate cut off marks after the release of CMAT results or scorecards. CMAT 2025 cut off will be released only after the declaration of results by the participating institutes/ universities. For top colleges like JBIS Mumbai, Goa Institute of Management, etc., the cut off percentile can be from 98 to 99 percentile. Likewise, the colleges like IFMR and PUMBA, the cut off percentile can vary from 90-95.
