MAH HM CET 2025 Application Form: Check Last Date, Direct Link, Process, & Fees

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has conducted the MAH HM CET 2025 for admissions into undergraduate and postgraduate hotel management programs. The MAH HM CET 2025 application process began on December 31, 2024. Eligible candidates were able to apply online at cetcell.mahacet.org. The application fee was ₹800 for general category candidates and ₹600 for reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC).

The last date to apply was February 10, 2025. The MAH HM CET 2025 exam was held on March 27-28, 2025, in an online, computer-based format. The BHMCT CET exam had a duration of 90 minutes, while the MHMCT CET exam lasted 60 minutes. The test consisted of multiple-choice questions covering General English, General Knowledge, and Reasoning for BHMCT candidates, and hospitality-related aptitude questions for MHMCT candidates.

Admit cards were released on March 11-12, 2025, and candidates were required to download them from the official website. The results are expected to be announced in April or May 2025. Qualified candidates will participate in the centralized counseling process for seat allotment.

MAH HM CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria to appear for MAH HM CET 2025. If they do not meet the requirements for admission to the BHMCT and MHMCT programs, they will not be considered for admission, even if they pass the exam. Please refer to the criteria below:

Nationality

• The candidate must be an Indian National.

Educational Qualification

For BHMCT (Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology)

• The candidate must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in aggregate.
• Candidates appearing for the 12th standard or equivalent examination in 2025 are also eligible to apply.

For MHMCT (Master of Hotel Management and Catering Technology)

• The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) or its equivalent from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in the qualifying degree is required.

Age Limit

• There is no upper age limit for MAH HM CET 2025.

Domicile

• Candidates must satisfy the domicile requirements as per the government of Maharashtra for specific category-based reservations.
• Non-domicile candidates can also apply but will fall under the All India category for seat allotment.

Subject Requirement

• For the BHMCT program, candidates must have studied any stream in the 12th standard (Arts, Commerce, or Science).
• For the MHMCT program, candidates should have a background in Hotel Management or a related field.

Reservation

• Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, VJNT, etc.) must provide the necessary certificates as per Maharashtra state guidelines to avail of relaxation in eligibility.

As per the official guidelines from the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, the following documents are required for the MAH HM CET 2025 Registration:

Photograph Specifications

• Recent color photograph (2-inch x 2-inch) covering 80% of the face.
• Size: Minimum 100 KB to Maximum 5 MB.
• Format: JPEG.
• Background: Plain light-colored or white.
• Expression: Neutral, with eyes open.
• Head coverings are not permitted except for religious reasons, but facial features must be clearly visible.

Identity Proof

• Valid photo ID (Aadhaar card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.).
• Ration Card and Learning Driving License are not valid ID proofs.

Caste Certificate (if applicable)

• For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories.
• Caste Validity Certificate and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate are also required at the time of document verification.

Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

• For Maharashtra state candidates to establish residency.

Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (if applicable)

• For OBC, VJNT, SBC, and SEBC candidates, to be submitted during document verification.

Persons with Disability (PWD) Certificate (if applicable)

• For candidates claiming PWD status, to be submitted during document verification.

Graduation Marksheet

• For MHMCT applicants, a copy of the graduation mark sheet (BHMCT or equivalent).

Transfer Certificate/College Leaving Certificate

• For candidates who have previously attended any college or institution.

Steps to Register for MAH HM CET 2025
