NEST 2025 Results: The results for NEST 2025 are expected to be published in the second week of July 2025. The NEST Result and merit list would contain information regarding the roll number of the candidate and a list of qualified candidates for the NEST 2025 Examination. Candidates need to enter their login credentials to get access to their results or scorecards and will be able to download the results.

The NEST 2025 application portal will open on February 17, 2025. Candidates can apply, pay the application fee, download their admit cards, and view their results after the exam. The results of NEST 2025 will be released online through the official website. NEST 2025 Percentile Score Calculation 

The procedure to be adopted by the exam officials to compute the NEST 2025 percentile is as follows. The merit lists for NISER and CEBS will be computed with the following formula for the percentile score: 

• There were two sessions of the NEST 2025 exam on the same day-one in the morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and one in the evening from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• This relative percentile performance of the scores of all such qualified candidates is computed separately for each of the NEST 2025 sessions.
• And obviously, this is going to be 100% for a given session at that time for when someone has been graded the maximum possible score by this session.
• MAP and Section-wise SMAS determine the final NISER-CEBS Merit List, Minimum Admissible Percentile SMAS (Each section).

NEST 2025 Scorecard 

Starting in 2023, the SMAS score derived from the highest three subject scores out of four will be utilized for the preparation of the merit list for NEST 2025, applicable to both NISER and CEBS. This marks a change from NEST 2022, where the SMAS scores from all four subjects were taken into account for the NISER merit list. While the merit lists will display the overall scores and ranks achieved by candidates in NEST 2025, the individual scorecards will include the following information:

• Candidate details, including name and roll number
• Scores attained by candidates in the General section
• Scores achieved by candidates in each section they attempted
• Total scores obtained by candidates out of 180 (comprising 30 marks for the General section and 50 marks for each of the best three subjects)
• Percentile scores of the candidates
• Candidates’ Merit rank 

NEST 2025 Scoring System

The NEST exam authorities follow a certain scoring system to score answers of candidates. It is important for all candidates to know the NEST 2025 scoring system. The NEST scoring system are as given below- 

1. The NEST 2025 exam has four sections of different subjects, carrying a weightage of 50 marks each.

2. The NEST 2025 entrance examination shall be conducted in two separate sessions, with the use of two different question paper sets for the two sessions, respectively. The percentile score will be computed as a function of the relative performance of all the qualified candidates of each session and the highest score in each session will be assigned the 100th percentile.

3. In the merit list compilation process, the highest three scores out of the four sections will be considered. Thus, the lowest score out of the four sections will not be considered in the merit list compilation.

4. Since the merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the best three sections, the total marks for NEST 2025 will amount to 150.

5. NEST cutoff marks will be calculated on a total of 150 marks to find out the eligible applicants.
