NIFT Application Form 2025 submission window closed on January 6, 2025. Applications with a late fee of INR 5000 were accepted from January 7-9, 2025. The application fee for NIFT 2025 was INR 3000. Candidates who met NIFT 2025 eligibility criteria could apply.
NIFT 2025 participating colleges offer B.Des, M.Des, B.F. Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M. The NIFT entrance exam application form is the same for all courses; candidates have to mention their course preference in the given field. Under the NIFT Lateral Entry Admission 2025, candidates will be considered for admission directly to the third semester of the UG program.
NIFT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the NIFT exam are postulated by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and cover the following elements:
- The qualifying exam passed (which will vary depending on the academic program selected by the candidate)
- Year in which the candidate passed the qualifying exam
- Minimum marks obtained in the qualifying exam
- Age limit
- Nationality
- Whether the candidate has applied under the domicile category.
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for NIFT 2025, or else he or she will not be considered for admission.
The exam conducting body will verify the eligibility requirements submitted by the candidate during NIFT counseling and seat allotment. Any candidate found to be furnishing incorrect or fake information will be disqualified.
How to Fill NIFT Entrance Exam Application Form 2025
Eligible candidates will have to fill out the form online. The stepwise process to apply for NIFT 2025 is given below.
Step 1: Enter the AADHAR Number and create a login ID
Click on the application tab. A registration form would open asking you to enter the AADHAR Number.
After successful verification of your AADHAR number, fill in the following details:
Entering the following details:
- Parent's name
- Email ID
- Mobile Number
Once the details are submitted, an acknowledgment is sent to the registered email address. Note that details provided at the time of creating the login ID cannot be modified later.
Note: The email ID and mobile number shared by the candidate at the time of registration can be used for future correspondence related to the online application, admit card, etc (till the admission process is over).
Step 2: Fill in the Application Form
The candidate next had to log in to the newly created account and fill in the following details:
- Test center - Select a test center (city) from the drop-down menu.
- Personal information - including the name of one's parents, gender, nationality, domicile, etc.
- Address for correspondence.
- Academic Qualification
Step 3: Upload documents
The candidate must upload their signature and photograph in the prescribed format (refer to the table below).

Note: Candidates seeking reservation need to upload the Valid Caste Certificate.
Step 4: Pay the application fee
This is the final step in the application process.
The application fee has to be paid online using Credit Card/ Debit Card/Net Banking. The category-wise application fee for NIFT 2024 is given below.

Track Status of NIFT 2025 Application Form
The candidate can track the status of the NIFT 2025 application form during the application process. NIFT 2025 Application Correction Window
The application correction window for NIFT 2025 will open soon after the application form closes.
Using the application correction process, the candidate can only change a few specific pieces of information.

Candidates are not allowed to change their test city.
Note that if any application form is found to be incomplete or incorrect after the correction window closes, the application fee paid by such candidates will not be refunded. Also, the candidature of candidates who provide incorrect information in their application form for the NIFT exam could be canceled.
How to make corrections in NIFT Application Form 2025?
To edit the NIFT 2025 application form, the candidate needs to follow the steps mentioned below.
- Click on the application correction link
- Log in to the portal using your application number, email ID, and DOB
- Once you log in, you can access the application form.
- Make the necessary changes
- Submit the edited application form.

Candidates can register themselves for NIFT online interview 2025 by following the below steps:
- Visit the official website - nift.ac.in
- Click on the registration link
- Enter email ID, date of birth, and roll number
- Click on Submit
- Follow the prescribed steps for registration

When will the NIFT 2025 application form open?
The online application form for NIFT 2025 is closed. With regular fees, the application was open from November 22-January 6, 2025. With late fees, applications were accepted from January 7-9, 2025. The application was available online at niftadmissions.in. The NTA also released the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria and information brochure.
When will the NIFT 2025 entrance exam be conducted?

Will there be an option to edit the NIFT 2025 application form?
The candidate was given the option to edit the NIFT 2025 application form from January 10-16, 2025. Using the NIFT 2025 application edit option, the candidate was able to edit or correct some of the information in the application form. Some of the details the candidate can edit include - name, date of birth, category, state domicile, etc. However, the candidate is not allowed to edit the exam city. The schedule for the application correction will be notified by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at its admission portal - niftadmissions.in.
Can I apply for NIFT 2025 with late fees?
Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology will allow candidates with late fees. The late fee application window will open once the deadline to fill out the NIFT 2025 application form with regular fee closes. The start and last date to fill out the NIFT 2025 application form with late fee will be notified by the institute before the regular application form closes or sometime thereabout. The late fee for NIFT 2025 will be INR 5,000. The late fee has to be paid in addition to the application fee, which is INR 3000 for open category candidates.
Do I need to keep a photocopy/printout after filling out the NIFT 2025 application form?
The application process for NIFT 2025 will be conducted online. After completing the application process, including payment of fees, the candidate must download a printout of the application form. In fact, the NIFT prospectus prescribes the candidate to “apply on time and keep a printout / photocopy of application form for further reference along with proof of payment.”
How can I select exam centers when applying for NIFT 2025?
The candidate will have to select an exam centre for NIFT 2025 when filling out the application form. After completing the registration process, log in to the application portal and click on the exam centre selection option. Then select your preferred city from the drop down menu. The NIFT 2024 exam will be conducted across 37 cities in India. Note that each of these exam cities may have one or more exam centres.
