When the exam announcement is released, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will make the NIFT 2025 exam pattern available. The NIFT 2025 Admission Prospectus will contain information on the exam format.
The exam pattern for the B.Des and B.F.Tech courses was changed in the previous edition of the exam. Nevertheless, the postgraduate courses remained unchanged.
There are TWO phases to the NIFT 2024 test. The GAT and CAT written tests are a part of Stage 1. All courses require the GAT, and candidates for the B.Des and M.Des programs must additionally take the CAT. Additionally, candidates are shortlisted for a Situation Test/Personal Interview (Stage 2) based on their written exam results.
The CAT exam will be administered offline, and the GAT exam will be administered via computer-based testing (CBT).
The first week of February 2025 is when the NIFT written test is expected to take place. It is estimated that the NIFT application form will go live in December 2024.
