REET is a teacher eligibility exam and the candidates who hold the educational qualification and age eligibility can fill out the application form. The detailed REET eligibility criteria 2025 in terms of educational qualification and the age limit criteria have been given below for the candidates.

REET Educational Qualifications for Level 1 (Primary Teacher for Classes 1 to 5)

Candidates must fulfill any one of the following educational qualifications:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

REET Educational Qualifications for Level 2 (Upper Primary Teacher for Classes 6 to 8)

Candidates must fulfil any one of the following educational qualifications:

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

REET Age Limit 2025

There is no age limit for the REET 2025 exam, candidates with relevant educational qualifications from any age group can apply for the exam.

REET Nationality 2025

Candidates applying for REET should be a Citizen of India. Any foreign candidates or persons having the nationality of other countries will not be eligible for this Eligibility Test.

Number of Attempts for the REET 2025 Exam

There is no restriction on the number of attempts for REET 2025. Candidates can appear for the examination as many times as they wish.
