Application Process

The application process for Amity University Mohali is straightforward and can be completed online. Here are the steps to apply:

• Application: Application form is to be downloaded from the website of the university, or one has to apply online. The application fee needs to be paid by the applicant in the form of Rs. 1500 through options of online payment mode, and the required documents are to be uploaded.
• Shortlisting: The university goes through a shortlisting process based on the merit of the candidate, usually in the last qualifying exam or entrance exams. For example, for MBA courses, it requires a valid score in an entrance exam such as CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ NMAT , while others rely purely on merit.
• Admission confirmation: After shortlisting, one has to pay a course fee for confirmation of admission.

3. It is subject to approval from the admission committee. After the approval process, there is a processing fee of Rs. 1100.

Shortlisted applicants would be offered provisional admission and needed to apply for an endorsed student visa to Amity University for the entire duration of the course. Additionally, a medical test report from a registered medical practitioner should be submitted within a week of admission. Medical insurance coverage for the duration of the course is also necessary. Registration with the District Foreigners Registration Officer or Foreigners Regional Registration Officers must be done within 14 days of your arrival in India.

Direct admission at Amity University Mohali

• Merit-based admission (80% or more in Class XII; CBSE/ISC/State Boards for 2023/24) Into undergraduate programs. While for other undergraduate programs, merit-listed admission is provided, based upon Class XII performance only. In that no percentage cutoff requirement as generally communicated through the prospectus: Architecture, Design, Education, Fashion, Law, B Pharm, and Physical Education.
• Direct Admission to Undergraduate Law Programs: A minimum qualifying score of 95 can directly be considered for admission to B.A., LL.B (Hons), and BBA LL.B (Hons) programs. Other than the CLAT score, if other eligibility criteria have been fulfilled, their admission is done; otherwise, they can apply through the Amity selection process.
• Direct Admission to postgraduate programs: Alumni from Amity of the graduation batch of 2023/2024 can make a direct application for Master's courses, if they qualify as per minimum eligibility criteria .
• Admission for Foreign and NRI Students: Candidates applying under this category have completed 12 years of formal education and qualify on par with Indian students. If this subject is not English, evidence of passing the English proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS) is required.
• AIU Equivalence Certificate Requirement: Candidates with foreign degrees are required to produce an AIU equivalence certificate, so that their foreign degree can be entertained in India. This includes submitting the authenticated academic transcripts and the accreditation status of the students' previous institution.
