Banasthali Vidyapith University, Jaipur conducts programmes from Primary level to Ph.D. It has several UG, PG and Doctoral level programmes under various departments. Admission into the same is based upon merit scored in the qualifying examination, but for some courses, an aptitude test is also conducted at the university level.

• For BA, a candidate of intermediate graduate in Arts/ Science/ Home Science must gain admission.
• For B.Sc Mathematics, a candidate must gain admission after his graduation with at least 60% marks in Maths.
• For B.Sc Bioscience, a candidate must gain admission after his graduation with at least 55% marks in Biology.
• For B.com, the candidate must be an intermediate graduate in any stream.
• For admission to BBA and BCA candidates must be the graduate of intermediate with 60% marks.
• For admission to B.Tech, the candidate must be the graduate of intermediate with 60% marks with PCM.
• For B.Sc, the applicant should be a Graduate in B.Sc with 60% marks.
• For MJMC, Graduate in Bachelor's degree in Journalism & Mass Communication
• For LLM, Graduation in Law with 5 year integrated law/ 3 year LL.B
• Admission to MCA
• Admission to the programme of MCA is done at the under graduation level with 60% marks.
• For M.Tech admissions, candidate should have passed the degree in B.Tech/ B.E./ MCA/M.Sc with 55% marks
• Admissions will be given purely on merit basis as per the marks secured in the qualifying examination. Admission to courses of B.Des and B.Ed will be done on the basis of merit of the aptitude test conducted by the university.

Eligibility

For B.Tech Admission, the candidate should have passed 10+2 in Science Stream from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English securing at least 60 percent marks in aggregate.

Selection Criteria

Only the merit of the qualifying exam will determine admission to the B.Tech programs.

Banasthali Vidyapith also offers M.Phil. in 10 and Ph.D. courses 29 specializations. 

• The basis for admission to M. Phil is done on the aptitude test conducted by the university.
• For courses at Ph.D. level, a candidate will need to have postgraduate degrees like Master's in that subject or in any other allied field with an aggregate mark of at least 55 % and has qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC. The requirements will be a valid Research Entrance Test (RET).

Important Notes

• An application form must be submitted to each program except for the B.Tech programs. Under the B.Tech programs, only one application form is accepted for all specializations.
• Make sure the filled OMR/ICR form accompanies the main application.

Admission Process

1. Merit-Based Admission:
   • On the basis of qualifying examination (80% weightage) and personal interview (20%)
   • Varying from course to course.
2. Entrance Exam-Based Admission (for some courses):
   • Merit = qualifying exam marks (40%)+entrance exam score (40%) + personal interview /Group Discussion (20%).
3. Online Aptitude Tests:
   • Administered for B.Tech, B.Pharm., MBA, LL.M., B.A. B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed., and B.Sc. (Nursing).
   • Exam centre can be anywhere in the candidate's house with a desk/laptop connected with a webcam and headset.
4. Special Considerations:

MBA Admissions Accept CAT in 2022 and MAT in 2022/2023

• Valid GATE Scores M.Tech Admissions
• PG Admission Merit on marks from first two years or all three years of the qualifying examination whichever is higher. Final year mark sheet with relevant documents should reach by September 30, 2024.

Reservation Details

• Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
• Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
• Physically Handicapped: 3%

Additional Admission Guidelines

• Students graduating from Banasthali Vidyapith shall be granted direct admission into some of its UG/ PG programmes.
• Credit points: Awarded based on extracurricular achievements, family association with the Vidyapith, or past enrollment.

Foreign/ NRI Admissions

• Eligibility: 40% aggregate marks in qualifying examination (50% for B.Ed. and M.Ed; 45% for SC/ST)

• Original certificates/mark sheets.
• Photocopy attested of passport, visa, and NRI bank details
• Declaration of NRI status

Note: The Foreign/ NRI status shall remain the same for the whole duration of the program.
