The institute offers eight undergraduate specialties under the Bachelor of Engineering program. Admission seekers who want to be enrolled must hold a valid KCET/COMEDK exam scorecard. The last seat in the relevant examination is issued at the end of the counseling round to the deserving candidate.

At PGCET institute, students are offered PG programs such as M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. For the three courses provided, the PGCET score is the one used for admission. Moreover, the institute also takes in KMAT scores for those pursuing the MBA and MCA programs while GATE scores are accepted for M.Tech programs.

The B.E. programme offered to undergraduates at CIT, Bangalore, requires the following qualifications:
To pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at CITECH, a candidate must have passed the 10 + 2 pattern of examination, which is equivalent to the two-year Pre University in Karnataka. Physics and mathematics are required subjects, while Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, and Electronics are optional. For admission, candidates in the General Category must receive 45% of the possible points in the qualifying test; candidates in the SC/ST, Category-I, and OBC categories must receive 40% of the possible points.
In cases where the Chemistry marks does not meets the aggregate percentage requirement to ascertain the eligibility criteria, the candidate’s marks in Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science and Electronics during the qualifying examination shall be considered insted of Chemistry. This provision is also excluded in the trancated ranks applicable for engineering/technology courses admission processes. Also, the applicant must have appeared in at least one of the entry tests COMEDK UGET/KOET. As for the admission, this institution requires a rank card.

postgraduate courses, including MCA, MBA, M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Network Engineering, Machine Design, and Signal Processing, are offered by the institute. Inorder to apply for these courses in the institution can be done via the Management Quota or the Post Graduate Karnataka Common Entrance Test (PGCET), After the test a counseling process is followed. Every year, in May or June, the Karnataka Education Board conduct the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test. PGCET testing is required of students who want to enroll in VTU-affiliated colleges. In the counseling process, students can enroll in college based on their PGCET rating.In order to enroll in our institute through the Management quota, students from Karnataka and other states must get in touch with the admission cell.
