The institute provides a four-year B.Tech. program in four specializations and a seven-year B.E. program in seven specializations for UG students. The Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test results are used to determine admission to B. Tech programs.

The college offers an M.E. and M.Tech. degree under 7 and 2 specializations, respectively, at the postgraduate level. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GAET) or Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) scores are used to determine admission to the same. The Integrated Common Entrance Exam score is used to determine admission to the MBA/ME program.

Following the authentication of their documentation and payment of the necessary fees, candidates are awarded admission to CBIT Hyderabad through an offline registration process conducted by the institute.

B.E./B.Tech. Admission Procedure

Category (Convener Quota):

-70% of the seats: Admission is based on TSEAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test) ranks. This quota is primarily for students from within the state.

Category (Management Quota):
  • 15% of the seats: These seats are available to candidates from across India without reservations. Admissions are based on:
  • IIT JEE Mains Ranks
  • TSEAMCET Ranks
  • Qualifying Exam Marks
  • 15% of the seats: Reserved for NRI (Non-Resident Indian) or NRI-sponsored candidates. Admissions are based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exams.

M.E./M.Tech. Admission Procedure

Category (Convener Quota):

  • 70% of the seats: Admission is based on:
  • GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) scores
  • TSPGECET (Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) ranks

Category (Management Quota):

MBA/MCA Admission Procedure

Category (Convener Quota):

- 70% of the seats: Admission is based on TSICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test) ranks.

  • Qualifying Exam Marks

How to Apply at CBIT Hyderabad?

Candidates must apply for the entrance exams—TS EAMCET, PGECET/GATE , and ICET—before submitting an application for admission to CBIT.

  • Go to the official exam website and select Apply.
  • Sign up and provide the required data.
  • Upload the picture, signature, thumb impression, and any other pertinent papers, such your certificate and category certificate (if applicable).
  • Pay the money and submit the form.

The application fee through net banking or debit card or e-challan

  • For AP EAMCET: INR 450
  • For PGECET: INR 600 (General) / Rs 300 (SC/ST)
  • For the GATE exam: INR 1,500
  • For ICET: INR 350

Based upon the entrance score and the counselling, the candidates will be offered admission to Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology Hyderabad after the verification of documents and payment of fees.

CBIT Hyderabad Scholarship Schemes

  • The Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology Scholarships of 5,000 rupees per month or 60,000 rupees per annum by CBIT. AICTE/MHRD is given to students who have qualified GATE examinations.
  • The scholarship of 60,000 per annum or 5,000 rupees per month is given to those students who have a rank between 1 to 400 in the PGECET exam.
  • Students who have a rank between 401 to 800 in that exam are provided with 36,000 rupees per annum or 3,000 rupees per month by CBIT.
