Central University of South Bihar

The University of South Bihar, commonly known as CUSB, was established in 2009 in Gaya, Patna. NAAC accredited the institute with an A grade. It offers 3 integrated programs and 5 postgraduate courses in multiple specializations.

CUSB accepts online applications.

Candidates seeking admissions for B.A + B.Ed, or B.Sc + B.Ed should have at least 50% marks in 10 + 2. The admissions are given through CUET scores.

The B.A + LLB course is also conducted on the basis of CUET scores. The candidate should have passed 10 + 2 with minimum 45% to seek admission.

For M.Tech, pass out must have secured a minimum of 60% of marks in B.E or B.Tech in the related specialisation and MCA, respectively. Admission is as per GATE scores.

In all the other PG Courses, marks vary from 50-55% to 55% as per the stream. Admission through CUET.

All candidates belonging to the SC/ ST / OBC community are eligible by giving a 5% relaxation of marks. Candidates from the SC/ ST / OBC community do not have any Cut Off while applying for CUET unless their overall score is 0 or negative.

CUSB Gaya offers 3 Integrated Programmes: BA.+ B.Ed, BSc.+ B.Ed, and BA+ LLB. The programs are offered in full time regular mode for 4 years BA + B.Ed and BSc + B.Ed and 5 years BA + LLB.

Candidates in the SC/ ST/ OBC categories get a relaxation of 5% to the aggregate score of the qualifying examination.

M.Tech Eligibility

The minimum eligibility criterion for the M.Tech program is BE/ B.Tech Degree in the relevant discipline or an MCA degree with at least 60%. GATE score is mandatory to secure admission in M.Tech program.

M.Tech Selection Criteria

• All GATE qualified candidates should first register in the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).
• Upon successful completion of registration, the candidate will receive the COAP Registration Number. This number must be used while filling the registration form.
• The central counseling board of CCMT will decide on the cut-off for each specialisation.
• Upon selection, candidates shall be informed regarding their selection status through a merit list published at the official website of the institute and at their COAP login account.

How to Apply for M.Tech?

• Register for the exam by logging into the NTA website.
• Enter Login details to create a Unique ID and Password.
• Use Personal login with Unique Id and Password and fill-in personal details (Name, Date of Birth, Mobile number, Parents' name, Parents' mobile, etc.)
• Upload Photograph and Signature and other documents
• Application for GATE paper in which subject and choice of cities for examination
• Finally, pay the application fees and submit it.
• After submission, check the status of the application form and retain the hard copy of it.

CUSB offers a number of courses in M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, and LLM. The duration of all these courses is 2 years. The details are summed up below.

2. Fill up academic and personal details.
3. Upload the photographs and signature.

5. Select the Universities according to the order of preference.
6. Preview and edit the application form.
7. Submit the form and pay the application fee.

How to apply to CUSB?

After the declaration of results, candidates must apply for CUSB through its website also. The procedure is as follows:-

1. Go to the website of CUSB
2. Click on the register (link on the right-hand corner of the screen).
3. Sign up with registered CUET email, CUET application number & user name, password of your choice.
4. After registering successfully, you will be led to the student's online registration form.
5. Fill up all the columns like basic details, qualifications, experience details, etc. along with uploading the required documents and complete the registration process.
6. Download the completed application for submission at the time of admission.
