- Online Application: Students are required to fill in the online application form using the official website (www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in).
- Verification of Documents: GATE Exam Appeared candidates of Sponsored/Non-sponsored category must submit their application form to ARC for verification
- Merit List: Provisional Merit list of GATE candidates sponsored and Non-sponsored category will be released and then Final merit list will be published on the website
- Seat Allotment
- Round I: Based on preference and availability seats will be allotted to Sponsored and Non-sponsored categories.
- Round II: If seats still remain vacant after Round I, the process of allotment is conducted for the remaining seats.
- Round III (Counseling): For the remaining vacant seats a final counseling round is done.
- Admission Confirmation: Candidates must report to the institute to confirm their admission in the respective allotted institutes after every round.
Eligibility Criteria

- He/She should possess a valid GATE score in the relevant branch.
- For Candidates with GATE Score:
- Even if your GATE score is below the qualifying marks, you can apply if you score out of 100.
- People who have appeared for previous years GATE exams and managed to score above the cutoff marks are eligible for admission to institutes through CAP.
Application Procedure
- Submissions: The application should be submitted online through the DTE Maharashtra website.
- Application Fee: The processing fee is payable through net banking, credit card, or debit card.
- Document Submission: After submitting online, print the application form, sign it, and attach attested copies of required documents.
- In-Person Verification: Candidates will be reporting to the Admission Registration Centers (ARC) with original and attested documents for verification according to the time schedule. Only those applications submitted online and confirmed at ARC will be further processed.
Important Notes:
- Be sure to submit documents on time and within specified guidelines so as not to miss the cut.
- Postal/ Courier applications are not accepted. Application forms have to be submitted personally at the ARCs.
