Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University is a state university in Faizabad, Ayodhya district, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 1975 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh as an affiliating university. It was renamed in 1993-94 after Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, a socialist independence fighter, politician and freedom fighter who was associated with Dr. S.R. Lohia of Lucknow. It is located in Ayodhya district, Uttar Pradesh, India. With the establishment of postgraduate faculties of History and Culture and Archaeology, Economics and Rural Development, Mathematics and Statistics and Physics and Electronics, the university became an affiliating university with hostel facilities in 1984.
