The Greater Noida Institute of Technology was founded by the Shri Ram Educational Trust, Noida. Although the trust was established in 2000, the institute opened its doors in 2001. It has been approved by the AICTE and affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow. In addition to undergraduate B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Com (Hons.), B.Sc., and BBA+MBA Integrated programs, GNIOT Noida offers postgraduate M.Tech, PGDM, MCA, and MBA courses.
During GNIOT placements in 2024, the highest and average packages provided were INR 70 LPA and INR 5.75 LPA, respectively. Prior to this, GNIOT was handling its placements for the 2022-2023 school year. According to the most recent report, INR 9 LPA was the highest package awarded during the GNIOT placements in 2023.
