Guru Nanak College, (GNC) was established in 1971, founded by Sikh Religion, by the Guru Nanak Educational Society (GNES). The college was re-accredited as -˜A' Grade by National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) in 2013. The college was conferred academic Autonomous status by the UGC in 2015, with focus of creating conducive environment of liberalisation and need based curriculum. Seeking candidates, who wanted to take admission in Guru Nanak College should be eligible for admission before filling up the application form, candidates who have passed their qualification examination in first attempt will be given preference. All candidates will be selected on the basis of merit only. The candidate will be admitted to the programme only after the interview with the concerned heads of the departments (HOD) and the principal.

The placement cell is conducting mock interviews every so often to help the students to reduce their anxiety about interviewing. This will help the students to boost their confidence.
