HITS is a private college recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) which was established in 1985 its foundation was laid by K.C.G. Verghese. The institute is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is well known for its excellent education and infrastructure.

To apply for admission to UG programs students must complete the online application form available on the official college website.
Admission is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying 10+2 examination, and applicants may also need to participate in an entrance test for some specific programs.
For postgraduate admissions, candidates must possess a relevant bachelor’s degree with the required percentage i.e. 55%.
