Jamia Millia Islamia offers admission to more than 200 courses in the fields of engineering, humanities, social sciences, law, education, and management, among others. Some of the popular courses offered by JMI are BTech, BA, B.Sc, MA, M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc, and PhD. Admissions at Jamia Millia Islamia are based on the entrance exam conducted by the university. Jamia Millia Islamia offers various programs at the undergraduate level in the fields of Engineering, Science, Arts, Law, Commerce, and Management, among others. Jamia Millia Islamia offers various programs at the postgraduate level in the fields of Arts, Science, Engineering, Design, Law, and Management, among others. The courses are offered for a duration of 2 years. Jamia Millia Islamia M.Phil/Ph.D Admission 2024

M.Phil. and Ph.D. admission are based on candidatesâ€™ performance in Written Test conducted by JMI followed by an Interview and evaluation of Research proposal. Masterâ€™s degree with 55% marks in the relevant discipline is the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.

Application forms can be filled online followed by offline submission at the university address.

Jamia Millia Islamia M.Phil/Ph.D Selection Process

UGC/ CSIR (JRF)/ GATE/ SLET or M.Phil passed candidates are exempted from Ph.D. Entrance Test. Teacher Fellowship holders are also exempted from the test.

JMI Ph.D. Entrance Test: The test is conducted in English medium except for Language subjects. Students have to pass both section A and B in order to be shortlisted for Interview. Qualifying in the entrance test would not give any right to admission to the candidate.

JMI Distance Education Admission 2024

JMI offers MA, M.Com courses at PG level and BA, B.Com, BBA at UG level in Centre of Distance & Open Learning (CODL).

Jamia Millia Islamia University offers admissions in UG, PG, PhD, and Certificate courses in various fields. The university offers admissions based on merit that is generated based on entrance test scores, interviews, and previous academic performance. Even if a candidate did well on the entrance exam, they will not be admitted to JMI if they did not receive the necessary scores in their previous academics, such as in their 12th grade or graduation. Therefore, meeting all qualifying conditions and achieving good scores in the entrance exam and interview scores are important for JMI selection.

Jamia Millia Islamia University offers various UG programs in engineering, science, arts, etc fields. The eligibility for all the offered programs is checked during admissions. Jamia Millia Islamia University does not offer admissions in PG programs if the student has neither appeared in the entrance test that it conducts nor in any national level entrance test such as CUET PG. Jamia Millia Islamia University conducts a written test for students enrolled in PhD programs. Students who have appeared in GATE/CSIR/NET/JRF, etc, exams or have some teaching experience are exempted from appearing in the written test that the university conducts. Jamia Millia Islamia University Admissions Application Process

To complete the admission process at Jamia Millia Islamia University, follow the below-mentioned steps:

Register yourself by visiting the official website of JMI.
You will be assigned a username and you will have to set a password.
Log in using the username and password.
Enter your academic details, parent’s details, and other details.
Select the course you wish to apply for.
Upload the necessary documents and scorecard (if available)
Pay the required fees and submit the application form.

Appear for the entrance test and attend the counseling session at JMI. Once all the procedures of admission are completed, the seat will be allotted to the student.

PhD Admissions Entrance Test Pattern at JMI

The pattern of entrance tests that JMI conducts is discussed below.

A single question paper consisting of Parts A and B will serve as the basis for the three-hour entrance exam.
50 multiple-choice (objective type) questions covering teaching and research aptitude, reasoning, comprehension, language, writing, and analytical skills, as well as current topics pertinent to research and higher education, will be included in Part A of the test. Each question will carry one mark. The question paper's part A will last for one hour.
The advanced understanding of the topic at hand and any applicable specialization will be covered in Part B of the question paper. It will consist of a total of 100 marks, of which 50 will be allocated to 50 multiple-choice (objective) questions for one mark each and a set of subjective questions worth another 50. The question paper's Part B will take two hours to complete.
