The University of Madras established the Institute of Distance Education in 1981. IDE offers 16 UG courses, 22 PG courses under CBCS Pattern (UGC Approved), 19 Diploma Courses and 16 Certificate Courses. The IDE provides exceptional courses with top notch facilities for its students. The institution provides excellent infrastructure and facilities for students to accomplish their academic goals.
