Students for the M.Tech program must have BE or BTEch degree from a recognised university as well as a strong GATE/ TS PGECET score. Admission for the MBA program is dependent on TSICET score and 50% merit in the qualifying graduation. The college seats are provided in the professional Institute of admission of the candidate and classed as A,B. Those in the A category are given 70% of the seats and while those who are in B category get 30%. The college also reserves a spot for the SC, ST, backward class and the minority students.

Malla Reddy Engineering College (MREC) placement for the academic year 2019-2020 resulted in over 800 offers to 600 registered students. - 2. Telangana Pre-Matric Scholarships For SC/ST/BC/Disabled Welfare
- Candidates must belong to SC/ST/OBC/EBC/Minority/disabled categories and must be studying in class 9th and 10th.
- The family annual income should be less than Rs 2 Lakh (for SC/ST students and OBC/Minority welfare students of the urban area), and Rs 1.5 Lakh (for OBC/Minority welfare students of the rural area).
