Hostels-
Every student has access to comfortable accommodations. On the institute grounds, separate residential housing is available for male and female students. All students, with the exception of those who reside in Chandigarh, Mohali, or Panchkula, will be housed at the dormitory. In Dera Bassi and the areas around it, no student is permitted to rent housing. Before being admitted to the hostel, each student must swear that they will not keep any unauthorized people, including day scholars, in their rooms. If they are discovered to be doing so without the hostel supervisor's or warden's prior consent, they risk being kicked out of the hostel.
When the student is admitted to the hostel, they are required to present the warden with the receipts for the room rent and hostel fee, which they feel satisfies the warden. If they do not, they will not be permitted to stay in any of the hostel's accommodations. The use of an air conditioner, air cooler, heater, refrigerator, or television requires prior written authorization from an appropriate authority. It is forbidden to play music systems that are more powerful than 20 watts or to own one.
