Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc Applicants applying to the NIMHANS must have followed the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as a compulsory subject.
• A candidate must obtain at least 45 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
• The minimum age is 17 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years at the time of admission at NIMHANS.

NIMHANS: B.Sc Selection Criteria

Candidates with a valid score in NIMHANS Entrance Test for UG courses followed by counselling are selected for admission to B.Sc programs at NIMHANS.

NIMHANS provides postgraduate level admission for M.Sc, MD & MPH courses. Admission to MD is given based on merit in INI CET conducted by AIIMS Delhi. • M.Sc: Graduation in the concerned discipline from a reputed university.
• MD: The aspirants must have done their MBBS from a recognized university.

Admission to DM & M.Ch at NIMHANS is given at INI SS conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. The candidates can apply through entrance exam merit and would be shortlisted for interviews or admissions. MBBS or MD/DNB qualified candidates will be considered for the entry in the DM course; on the other hand, for M.Ch, only MBBS or MS/ DNB will be considered as a qualified candidate. The DM and M.Ch courses are provided at NIMHANS with the following specializations. Here are the eligibility criteria for NIMHANS D.M. and M.Ch. Admission 2024.

• An MD/MS degree with aggregate percentage of 55 from any recognized MCI university of that area with an equivalent qualification would suffice.
• A relaxation of 5% is available for the students belonging to the SC/ST/OBC categories.
• All candidates must be enrolled in the register of the Medical Council of India or any state medical council.

NIMHANS Superspeciality Course Selection Criteria

The candidates are selected based on merit in the INI SS conducted by AIIMS Delhi followed by the counseling process for admission to DM and M.Ch courses at NIMHANS.

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences - Doctorate Admission

The admission to courses like M.Phil, PhD, Fellowship, and PDF is done at the Doctorate level in NIMHANS. Candidates need to obtain at least 50% marks in the entrance for admission.

NIMHANS Doctoral Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the Doctoral program at the NIMHANS must have the following eligibility criteria:

• PhD/ MPhil: MBBS or any Master's degree in a relevant specialization from a recognized university.
• Fellowship: MD or DNB degree in relevant specialization from a recognized university.

NIMHANS Doctoral Selection Criteria

Candidates are selected on merit in the NIMHANS Entrance Test followed by the interview process for admission at NIMHANS. Candidates who have cleared UGC, CSIR, ICMR, DBT, or equivalent exams or are working as JRF/ SRF are exempted from the entrance test and can appear directly for the interview round.
