  • Highest Salary: Highest salary offered during this placement season was INR 57.65 Lakhs per annum.
  • The average salary: Compared with the previous years, it was highest for the batch with an average salary of INR 24.14 Lakhs per annum.
  • Median Salary: The median salary was at INR 22.77 Lakhs per annum. The quality of placements, therefore, is consistent.
  • Total Offers: More than 210 companies visited the campus for placement purposes and provided a total of 655 offers to the students.
  • McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, HUL, ITC, and Reliance Industries were some of the top recruiters.

Sector-Wise Placement Breakdown

The offers made in various sectors by SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies are quite diversified. For these, a sector-wise placements break-up is given below.

Consulting

Compared to the previous year, among all domains, the consulting sector continued to be the most sought-after field for graduates passing out of NMIMS. Among the top recruiting firms were those belonging to the consulting industry, such as McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, and Accenture. Strategy, management consulting, and operations formed the core roles offered by these consulting firms, translating to about 25% of the total offers.

Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI)

The BFSI sector saw a lot of placements from major financial institutions and banks, so that adds up. Prominent recruiters in this sector included Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Axis Bank. Roles included everything from investment banking and corporate finance to risk management and wealth management. The sector added up to approximately 20% in terms of placements.

Information Technology (IT) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES)

Another significant portion of the IT and ITES sector was formed by participation by the leading tech giants and IT services companies. The list for the companies included Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant for the positions in product management, business analysis, IT consulting, and technology strategy. It comprised about 18% of the total offers.

FMCG and Consumer Durables

FMCG and consumer durables is another sector that attracted tremendous interest from students. Top companies like HUL, ITC, Nestle, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, P&G, Marico, and Godrej Consumer Products continued to actively recruit for sales and marketing roles, brand management, supply chain management, and operations. This contributed about 15 percent to the entire placements.

Manufacturing and Conglomerates

Manufacturing industries and conglomerates also came as a major attraction within the placements with groups like Tata Group, Reliance Industries, Aditya Birla Group, Larsen & Toubro, Mahindra & Mahindra to name a few. The functions provided varied; they ranged from operations to project management, supply chain management, and business development. This category comprised 12% of the overall placements.

Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals

Major companies that visited this sector are from the healthcare and pharmaceuticals sector, such as Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Novartis, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, and Cipla. It included deals in business development, sales and marketing, supply chain, and product management. This sector comprised approximately 5% of the total offers.

E-commerce and Retail

The e-commerce and retail space continued to hold everyone's attention as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and Walmart hired many graduates in operations and supply chain management, marketing, and business development. This accounted for around 5% of the total placements.

General management profile was available with companies like Tata Administrative Services, Aditya Birla Group, Mahindra Leadership Program, and Reliance Industries. The finance roles predominantly belonged to the BFSI sector but could also interest consulting firms and conglomerates. Marketing and Sales

Consulting

Top firms like McKinsey & Company, BCG, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG provided opportunities for students to join as consultants. In these consulting positions, students could focus on strategy consulting, management consulting, operations consulting, and IT consulting; several opportunities to work on projects with significant impact.

Operations and Supply Chain Management

Operations and supply chain management roles were open in most sectors, including manufacturing, FMCG, consumer durables, and e-commerce. Among some major recruiters were Flipkart, Amazon, HUL, and Reliance Industries hiring graduates to work in logistics, procurement, and strategy in the supply chain as well as in operations management.

Human Resources

Human resources roles were provided by companies in the IT, FMCG, consulting, and manufacturing sectors. The roles included talent acquisition, HR business partner, learning and development, and employee relations. A great deal of recruitment happened in these organizations-Infosys, TCS, HUL, and Deloitte.
