Shri Ram Murti Smarak CET(College of Engineering and Technology) also includes intakes of students by considering merit in the relevant qualification and valid entrance exam scores like JEE Mains, UPTAC. In the year of 2024, The University has declared the final selection list for all the categories based on marks in relevant qualification for all the branches. The Cut Off marks/ranks is very crucial for the students which decides the admission of the students in the University.
The University has made a criteria of minimum cut off of 673680 to 891326 rank for various courses of UG program for categories like General based on JEE Mains score in the year of 2024.it has announced its first round cutoff for admission in the University. The cutoff was decided by the University for the various courses and Specialization of the Undergraduate program like B.Tech.
SRMS CET has also made a criteria of minimum cut off of 673680 to 1070050 rank for various courses of PG program for the categories like General based on UPTAC score in the year of 2024.it has announced its round 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Cut off for admission in the college. The cutoff was decided by the college for the various courses of the UG program like BTech.

The Main key factors affecting cut off includes various stages such as:
- Number of Applicants: the more the number of peoples apply for the entrance exam the more will be the cut off
- Exam difficulty : the difficulty of exam decides the merit candidates in the college
- Seat availability: based on seats available in the university the cut off will be decided according to the seat availability.
- Reservation policy: the cutoff includes the reservation policies for the admission of college. The cut off for reservation candidates will be less than unreserved candidates.
