Eligible candidates can obtain the admission form and prospectus for the applicable course from the Institute as well as the official website. Fill out the form and send it to SBIHM's corporate address, together with an attested copy of necessary papers. An application fee of INR 800 must be paid in the form of a DD made out to Subhas Bose Institute of Hotel Management. SBIHM Kolkata Admission ProcedureÂ
As SBIHM provides multiple UG, PG and diploma courses, the eligibility criteria for all are different and according to the norms of the education department.Â
- The candidate should have passed Class 10 from a recognised board for Diploma courses.
- For Bachelor courses, the candidate should have passed Class 12 from a recognised board and scored a minimum of 40% to secure a seat in any course. No entrance test is conducted for admission to a Bachelor’s degree.
- For a Master’s Degree, students should possess an undergraduate degree or have passed the final exam of the undergraduate course. For admission to a Master’s degree, the student should have completed an undergraduate course related to the same field.

There are no fixed dates for admission to the college. Generally, fresh admissions are given after June. This tentative date is due to the board exam result declaration and the commencement of the new academic year in September.

SBIHM Kolkata is well-furnished, which helps to make learning more exciting and formulating. The campus contains facilities like a library, food court, language labs, sports arena, etc.Â
- Library - The campus consists of one central library, which is well-managed. It contains various books related to hotel management and related fields. Major multilingual (Bengali, Hindi, English) national and regional newspapers are available in the library. Some regional, national and international magazines related to hotel management are arranged in the library. The library has a sophisticated sitting facility. Discipline is strictly followed in the library.
- Food court - To enhance the practical knowledge of classroom learning, students organise a food court and get relevant feedback for their service. Mess is also handled by learners only, which helps them teach practical knowledge with the course.Â
- Sports arena - Some sports facilities are available on campus. Students often play in groups in their leisure time. Sports are not the interest of students; hence, they need to be better developed.
