Founded in 2007, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth is a private, deemed university in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. The University currently offers courses to students in the following streams: management, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, dentistry, and medicine. Different admissions techniques are used by the university to admit students to other courses.
15% of the seats in each course will be filled by NRI candidates, 50% will be filled by candidates from the Jain community, and the remaining 50% will be filled by candidates from the general category.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth MBBS Admission
For five and a half years, the university offers the MBBS degree at the undergraduate level. The candidate must reach the age of 17 by December 31st of the year they are admitted to the MBBS program, at the latest.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) administers the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), which is the prerequisite for admission to the MBBS program.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth BDS and MDS Admission
The university also offers courses in the field of Dental Science at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The duration of BDS programme is four years and the MDS programme takes three years to complete its duration.
For admission to the BDS programme, aspirants need to sit for NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Admission to the MDS program is done on the basis of merit in the pre-qualifying examination.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth MD and MS Admission
At postgraduate level, the university offers Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) in multiple specializations. The duration period for each of the specializations is three years. The total number of seats available depends upon the nature of the specializations.
Candidates who meet the requirements must take the National Board of Education's (NBE) NEET PG exam. Candidates must, however, possess a Graduate Degree in MBBS from any accredited university to satisfy the eligibility requirements.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Physiotherapy Admission
The university also offers UG and PG level courses in the field of Physiotherapy for the willing candidates. The BPT programme is four years whereas the MPT programme takes two years to complete.
Admission to the BPT program shall be made based on common merit list prepared separately for each category of seat, out of all the applicants based on marks secured in AICET/ Qualifying examination. However, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to seek admission.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth MBA Admission
The university also offers a Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme in the field of Health Care for aspiring candidates. The MBA program is for a period of two years.
Admission to the MBA course is done through the AIPGACET exam. Candidates with MBBS/ BDS/ BPT/ BAMS/ BHMS or any other degree recognized by the university are eligible for AIPGACET. Those candidates holding valid CAT/MAT/XAT/SNAP or any other recognized score are exempted from this entrance exam.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth B.Sc, M.Sc and Diploma Admission
Nursing courses given by the university are an option for candidates who wish to pursue a profession in nursing. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Post Basic B.Sc. programs are available at the undergraduate level for two and four years, respectively. The university also offers Master of Science (M.Sc) and M.Sc in Nursing with many specializations. The duration period for M.Sc and M.Sc Nursing is 3.5 years and 2 years, respectively.
Admission to Nursing, in both UG and PG courses, is done based on marks scored in the pre-qualifying examination. Admission to the B.Sc. (N) and M.Sc. (N) courses shall be made based on a common merit list prepared separately for each category of seat out of all the applicants based on marks secured in the AICET/ Qualifying examination. However, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to seek admission.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth DM and M.Ch Admission
Additionally, the university provides three-year super speciality programs such as the Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.) and Doctor of Medicine (DM). The type of speciality determines how many seats are available.
Candidates are chosen based on their scores from the most recent qualifying exam. The college then requires the qualified applicants to attend a face-to-face interview. Candidates must, however, have taken and completed postgraduate coursework in pertinent fields.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Pharmacy Admission
The university offers several pharmacy courses at the UG and PG levels. The B.Pharm program is of four years, whereas the duration period of the M.Pharm and Pharm.D courses is of two years. The university also offers a 5-year integrated Pharm.D program.
Admission for B.Pharm / Pharm D. courses shall be made based on a common merit list prepared separately for each category of seat out of all the applicants based on marks secured in the AICET/ Qualifying examination. In addition, the student seeking admission must also meet other eligibility criteria given by respective statutory bodies.
Sumandeep Vidyapeeth Ph.D. Admission
The university offers several doctoral courses in multiple specializations. It also provides part-time PhD courses for employed candidates who aspire to research-oriented programs. The duration period of the full-time PhD program is 3 to 6 years, and the part-time PhD program is 4 to 6 years.
Admission to the PhD course is made through an Entrance examination conducted by the university.
