An independent college in Mumbai, Thakur College of Science and Commerce is connected to the University of Mumbai, UGC, and NAAC. According to the Education World Report from April 2020, Thakur College of Science and Commerce is ranked 55th out of India's Best Autonomous Private Colleges. BA: To be eligible for admission to the FTNMP course, a candidate must have passed the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education's H.S.C. (XII Std.) exam or an equivalent board exam.
B.Com: The candidate must have earned at least 45% of the possible points in the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education's H.S.C. Examination, or its equivalent, and 40% of the possible points in the case of a candidate from the reserved category.
B.Sc: A candidate must have passed the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education's H.S.C. (Std. XII) examination in Science or its equivalent in the Science Stream in order to be eligible for admission to the three-year integrated program leading to the B.Sc. (Biotechnology) degree program.
Junior Commerce: After the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education announces the results of the S.S.C. test, admission to the first year of junior college (FYJC-Std XI) is made available. Admissions are granted strictly in accordance with the guidelines periodically provided by the Maharashtra government's Department of Education.
Junior Science: After the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education announces the results of the S.S.C. test, admission to the first year of junior college (FYJC-Std XI) is made available. Admissions are granted strictly in accordance with the guidelines periodically provided by the Maharashtra government's Department of Education. Candidates can be admitted to the F.Y.J.C. (Std XI) class if they have passed the Maharashtra Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education's S.S.C. exam or an exam that the State Board considers equivalent.
A provisional eligibility certificate issued by the Divisional Secretary of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education, Sector No. 16, Vashi, Navi Mumbai 400073, must be shown by the students who completed the aforementioned comparable test. After the S.S.C. results are announced, the qualified applicants must apply using the form that has been provided. We will adhere completely to the admissions schedule set forth by the Deputy Director (Education), Department of Education, Government of Maharashtra. Students who pass the CBSE and ICSE Boards' Std. X will be regarded as being on par with those who pass the State Board's S.S.C. test.
