VMOU admits students to most courses twice a year: in January and July. However, the M.Sc program is only available for admission in July. Most courses are based on your results from previous exams. The university conducts its own admission tests for MBA, M.Sc, MCA,B.Ed, and PhD programs.
VMOU UnderGraduate ADMISSIONS
VMOU provide many undergraduate courses through distance learning in areas like Arts, Science, Commerce, Business, Computer Science, and Journalism. To get into these courses, students need to have good marks in their previous exams. Most UG courses take 3 years to complete, but some programs, like Journalism and Library Science, take 1 year. VMOU PostGraduate ADMISSIONS
VMOU offers several postgraduate (PG) courses through distance learning in fields like Arts, Science, Commerce, and Journalism. Most PG courses take 2 years to complete, while PG Diploma courses are for 1 year. They also have 1-year programs for Masters in Journalism (MJ) and Masters in Library & Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc). To get into these PG courses (except MBA and MCA), students are admitted based on their previous exam results. The university does not require an entrance test for these courses. For the MCA program, there is a special entrance test conducted by the university. VMOU also allows students to join the M.Sc and MCA programs through lateral entry. VMOU PHD ADMISSIONS
VMOU offers a PhD program in 18 different subjects. To apply, candidates need a Master’s degree in the same field with at least 55% marks. For SC/ST candidates from Rajasthan, a 5% mark reduction is allowed. Admission involves an entrance exam and a personal interview conducted by the university. The qualifying criteria for PhD specialties are tabulated below.

ADMISSION PROCESS
- Check the official website of the VMOU (vmou.ac.in).
- Go on 'First Year/Fresh Admissions' in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select the link 'Apply Now' and then select on the 'New User'
- Students must register themselves using a valid contact number and email address and verify the registration by entering the obtained OTP on the provided contact information.
- Insert the VMOU login credentials.
- Select the preferred course and fill out the application form with the necessary information.
- Attach a scanned copy of the photograph, signature, and needed papers.
- Finish out the application form and pay the appropriate application cost.
