Admission to the B Arch degree at Karnataka, especially for well-known colleges such as RV College of Architecture (RVCA), depends on academic qualification and merit in entering the architectural colleges through national entrance exams. For state-level B Arch admissions in Karnataka, there is no separate state-level entrance exam for Bachelor of Architecture. Instead, admissions are conducted through the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) counseling process, which requires candidates to have a valid national-level NATA score. Step 1:

Candidates will have to qualify for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) held by the Council of Architecture (CoA). Application to the B Arch programs in Karnataka, which is inclusive of RV College of Architecture, requires the availability of a valid NATA score. The candidates should also note that they should have passed their eligibility criteria in academics (10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics).

Step 2:

Check Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) counseling on their official KEA website, and then get registered for the KEA counseling. It is the major admission procedure to B Arch seats in Karnataka. Upload the necessary documents such as a 10+2 or diploma marksheet and NATA scorecard, category certificate (in case it exists), and a recent passport-sized photo.

Step 3:

KEA shall issue a merit list, which is a combination of 50% weightage of marks in 10+2 or diploma exam and 50 percent weightage of score in NATA. The RV College does not have a distinctive entrance examination for the B Arch course.

Step 4:

After the merit list is issued, the candidates will have to undergo the counseling process, wherein they will be allowed to choose one of their preferred choices during the option entry, in which they can select the RV College of Architecture.

Step 5:

If allotted a seat at RVCA, candidates must confirm admission by paying the admission fee through the KEA portal and report to the college within the specified timeline. Failure to do so may result in the loss of the allotted seat.

Candidates must submit original documents for verification either online (if directed) or in person at RV College of Architecture.
