B.Arch. is a full-time undergraduate program of 5 years duration, available in government universities of Meghalaya (especially North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong). The BArch admission in Meghalaya is done based on the performance of a candidate in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) as well as results in 10+2 or equivalent exams.

 

The Applicants should have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the 10+2 level or a 10+3 diploma with equivalent marks and subjects. It will be done through a merit-based selection whereby academic performance and a valid NATA score will be taken into account. The format of the program is the development of creative, technical, and professional competence in architecture, and it is divided in the span of 10 semesters.

BArch Admissions Tamil Nadu Eligibility Criteria

The candidates need to fulfill the BArch eligibility criteria of the colleges of their preferred choice. The eligibility criteria for most colleges are common for the course. The candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidates need to complete their 10+2 standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory.
  • The candidates need to score at least 50% marks in their 12th standard.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories, economically weaker sections, and persons with disabilities will be given a relaxation of 5 percent.
  • The candidates who have done their 10+3 Diploma in mathematics will also be able to apply for the BArch course.
  • In addition to the eligibility criteria, the candidates need to pass the entrance examinations, such as NATA or JEE Main Paper 2 (B.Arch).

Meghalaya BArch Admission Process

The candidates need to follow a simple BArch admission process in Meghalaya. The BArch admission process at NEHU is provided below:

 

Step 1: Register and apply for the NATA examination to be eligible to apply for the course.

 

Step 2: Once the result is declared, download your scorecard for further processing.

 

Step 3: To apply for the course, visit the official NEHU site and the admissions section.

 

Step 4: Register yourself for the admission process.

 

Step 5: Fill in the application form, enter your required details, and choose the B.Arch program.

 

Step 6: Attach a scanned copy of the documents required for the application process.

 

Step 7: Pay the application fee to complete the application process.

This is the percentage, which is published in the annual admission notice, which may vary.
