The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the CDS 1 Result 2024 of recommended candidates on the official website. Candidates who appeared for CDS 1 2024 can check the marks. A direct link is also provided below. The list has written test marks, SSB marks, and the final total along with the name of candidates and date of birth. The UPSC released the CDS 1 final merit list 2024 at upsc.gov.in. 590 applicants in all made it to the final list. UPSC CDS is one of the most sought-after career options after graduation for aspirants who want to join the defence sector-Army, Navy and Air Force. After clearing the written exam and SSB interview, candidates will secure admission to the prestigious Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers' Training Academy (OTA). To get admission to the Indian Armed Forces academies, the candidates have to secure the CDS cut off marks which the UPSC releases after analysing the marks secured by the candidates. CDS Result 2024 Released

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the CDS 1 Final merit list 2024. 590 (470 + 120) candidates who have finally qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2024 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held
by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence. Of 590 candidates, 120 are women and 470 are men who will be enrolled in the 35th Short Service Commission Women (NonTechnical) and 121st Short Service Commission Course (Men), which will start in April 2025.

According to the CDS 1 2024 final result, 237 candidates were declared qualified and finally shortlisted for admission to the 158th (DE) Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. No. 217 F(P) Course. UPSC CDS Previous Years Cut off

For selection to the IMA, INA, AFA and OTA, candidates need to qualify for the minimum qualifying marks separately in the written exam and SSB Interview prescribed by the examination authority. CDS Result: Score Calculation Process

The scores of candidates are calculated as per the process given below:

  • For the correct answer in each section of the test, candidates score one mark
  • For incorrect response, 1/3 marks are deducted
  • In case candidates mark more than one option in the test that will be treated as the wrong answer
  • The total score is calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers

CDS Marksheet 2025

The marks obtained by the qualified candidates are displayed after the declaration of the final result and CDS final answer key. The scorecard includes the candidate’s roll number, date of birth, name, total marks obtained in the written exam and SSB Interview, and final total marks.

However, keeping with the decision of the Government of India (Department of Personnel & Training) regarding the display of scores of candidates who appeared for the SSB Interview but did not qualify, the commission releases the same which remains valid for one year. The details include the candidate’s name, father’s/husband’s name, date of birth, category, gender, educational qualification, total marks, etc.

CDS Result: Preparation of Merit List

The merit list is prepared in the following manner:

  • UPSC prepares a list of candidates who get the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam decided by the commission
  • Candidates declared successful in the written exam are called for an intelligence and personality test
  • Candidates need to secure separate qualifying marks in the written exam and SSB Interview
  • The final merit list is prepared based on the total marks secured in the written exam and SSB Interview
  • The final selection is done based on their merit subjected to medical fitness and the number of vacancies

CDS Public Disclosure of Scores

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) discloses the marks and other details of non-recommended candidates. The marks are released as per the willingness of candidates. CDS marks are available in PDF form and comprise details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, community, gender, educational qualifications, total marks, complete address, and email ID. The scores and other details of non-qualified under the disclosure scheme are released out of 600 marks for IMA, INA, and AFA and 400 marks for OTA.

What is the difference between CDS result and SSB interview?

CDSE (Combined Defence Services Examination) is a written exam conducted by UPSC for the recruitment to the IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA. The written exam is followed by an interview by the Service Selection Board (SSB). The SSB interview is a five day long personality and intelligence assessment test conducted by the SSB for candidates who have qualified in the written exam.
