UPSC conducts the CDS or Combined Defence Services Examination twice every year. Students with their scores can get recruited at the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officers' Training Academy. The test is conducted once in April and once in September. Last year, a total of 8373 students were shortlisted for the interview process after the declaration of CDS 1 exam results. Every year, nearly 10000 students register for the CDS examination. Candidates from over 78 exam zones compete for 457 seats. All the latest and official information related to CDS 1 and 2 examinations are as follows:
- CDS 1 notifications along with the application form will release on December 11, 2024. The registration process for the examination 2 will commence May 28, 2025.
- Students can fill out the application form for examinations 1 and 2 till December 31, 2024 and June 17, 2025 respectively.
- All successfully registered candidates can download CDS 2025 admit cards for exams 1 and 2 from April 6 and September 7, 2025 respectively.
- CDS 1 examination will be conducted on April 13, 2025. The exam date for CDS 2 is set as September 14, 2025.
- The scorecards of CDS 1 and 2 examinations will be available by the second week of May 2025 and the fourth week of August 2025.
