COAP 2025: Registration (SOON), Eligibility, Seat Allotment, Admission Process

COAP 2025: The COAP 2025 information brochure will be released on the official website by the IISc Bangalore. The institution will also activate the GATE COAP 2025 registration link in March 2025. Qualified candidates of GATE 2025, 2024, 2023 & 2022 will be eligible for the COAP registration 2025. The Common Offer Acceptance Portal and Centralised Counselling for M.Tech/ M.Des are the counseling sessions that are conducted based on GATE scores. Candidates willing to be admitted to NITs and IITs must register for the COAP 2025. Every year, more than 20,000 candidates qualify in the GATE exam, however, around 10,000 candidates get admission at 23 different IITs across India. COAP 2025 Highlights

Eligible candidates with a valid GATE score are required to register in COAP to see offers from IITs for MTech or job offers from PSUs. COAP is an interface where the candidates can view and select the offers made by IITs and PSUs. It guides them in making informed choices. The coordinating institute of GATE every year happens to be the same institute as the previous year's organizer institute of COAP.

COAP 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for GATE COAP 2025 should fulfill some eligibility criteria. They should possess a valid GATE score of the years 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025. If an applicant has more than one valid GATE score, they should provide the highest score while registering but also mention details of other scores. Applicants having GATE 2025 scores in more than one paper should provide details of all scores. Also, the candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria of the respective IITs they are applying for.

Candidates seeking MTech admission through GATE must register on the COAP 2025 portal. The registration process is mandatory to view and accept offers from IITs and PSUs. After completing the registration, candidates will receive login credentials via email and SMS. Through the COAP portal, candidates can check the detailed procedure to fill out the application form and track their admission status. The registration process is simple and requires basic details such as personal information and GATE qualification details. Below are the steps to complete the COAP 2025 registration.

• Register online by providing personal details and GATE qualification information.
• After successful registration, receive login credentials via email and mobile.
• Use the login ID and password to access the COAP portal.
• Verify all entered details and ensure accuracy.
• Apply to the preferred IITs through their respective institute portals.
• Check the allotment status after every round of seat allotment.

Checking Admission Offers Through COAP 2025

Candidates can check the admission offers made by the participating IITs and PSUs through the COAP portal. It is essential to log in using valid credentials to access the seat allotment status. The portal provides institute-wise seat allotment updates after every round. Candidates should regularly check the COAP website to stay updated about their admission status.

Steps to Check COAP 2025 Admission Offers:

• Visit the COAP 2025 portal.
• Log in using the registered ID and password.
• Click on the "Seat Allotment" button.
• View institute-wise allotment status.
• Confirm the seat allotment by selecting one of the available options: "Accept and Freeze," "Retain and Wait," "Reject and Wait," or "Reject."

COAP 2025 Offer Options 

Once candidates receive a seat allotment during COAP counselling, they must choose an appropriate response. The COAP 2025 portal offers four response options: "Accept and Freeze," "Retain and Wait," "Reject and Wait," and "Reject." Candidates must carefully select an option based on their preference. If no seat is allotted, they must wait for the next rounds.

Applicants need to make their choice wisely according to their admission objectives. If they select "Reject and Wait" in the last round, it will be counted as "Reject" automatically. Students who do not get an offer in the present round must wait for future allotment rounds.

Seat Allotment Response Options:

• Accept and Freeze: Choose this option if you want to accept the allotted seat and do not wish to be considered for any further rounds of seat allotment. Candidates selecting this option will not be considered for upgradation.
• Retain and Wait: Select this if you want to accept the current allotment but still wish to be considered for a better option in subsequent rounds. If a higher-preferred seat is allotted in the next round, the previous "Retain and Wait" choice will be canceled.
• Reject and Wait: Choose this option if you do not wish to accept the current allotment but want to be considered for upcoming seat allotment rounds.
• Reject: Select this when you do not want to accept any of the offered seats. This option is final and indicates that you do not wish to participate in any further rounds.

Offer Rounds by IITs/PSUs in COAP 2025 

IITs and PSUs give offers to candidates in several rounds. There are five principal rounds and seven additional rounds of offers. Candidates can attend each round and decide on their offers from their COAP dashboard. The additional rounds are the last and final deciding rounds. In these rounds, candidates will be given only two options: "Accept and Freeze" or "Reject All and Wait". The round-wise options provided in COAP are as follows-
